2Ciels Boutique Hôtel Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Marrakech, and 2Ciels Boutique Hôtel is one of those spots that just gets it right. It’s tucked away on Rue Oued EL Makhazine in Gueliz – and honestly, the location is pretty genius. You’re literally across from the Club Royal de Tennis, which sounds fancy but actually means you’re in this quiet pocket where you can hear the occasional thwack of tennis balls instead of constant traffic. The Gueliz neighborhood is where a lot of locals hang out, so you get that authentic feel without being stuck in the tourist circus of the medina.
The hotel itself has this understated elegance that I really appreciated. You know how some boutique places try way too hard to be quirky? This isn’t that. The owners clearly put thought into the details – the lobby has these beautiful Moroccan tiles that aren’t screaming “look at me” but still remind you where you are. My room had this perfect balance of traditional touches and modern comfort, and the bed was actually good (I’m picky about mattresses). The bathroom was spacious enough that I wasn’t bumping into everything, which is more than I can say for some four-star places I’ve been to. What really impressed me was how quiet it was at night – I mean, you’re still in a city, but the thick walls and good windows kept most of the street noise out.
The staff here are the kind of people who remember your name and actually seem to care about whether you’re having a good time. They gave me solid recommendations for restaurants that weren’t just the usual tourist traps – sent me to this incredible tagine place about ten minutes away that I never would have found on my own. The breakfast was simple but well-done, with fresh bread and local honey that made me want to linger over coffee longer than I usually do. I stayed here during shoulder season in March, and the rooftop terrace was perfect for evening drinks when the weather cooled down. I imagine it gets pretty hot up there in summer, but the views of the Atlas Mountains in the distance are worth a little sweat. Parking was surprisingly easy too – they have a small lot, which in Marrakech is basically like finding treasure. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on what matters most when you’re traveling: comfort, location, and people who know what they’re doing.

Everything was excellent
We booked a Deluxe room with was fantastic, however during our stay we were upgraded to a suite.. due to hotel maintenance on our floor
The suite was spacious and beautiful.. however for value for money I would prefer the deluxe room!
What could be improved: Food is excellent
Roof pool was nice although very shallow not for swimming
I prefer the lower pool for a good swimComfortable and great location – David from Australia – 5 July 2025 (9/10)
Lovely pool and excellent breakfast/. Good location and easy walk to Medina and other tourist location
Very nice stay for 4 nights. Temperature was 45 degrees in Marrakesh so enjoyed a dip in the pool. – Suzanne from United Kingdom – 4 July 2025 (9/10)
Lovely restaurant for breakfast. Swam in the pool, big enough for a few lengths.
What could be improved: Everything was good. Would stay again.Awesome hotel in great location – Linda from Canada – 2 July 2025 (9/10)
Great hotel with very good amenities and terrific location! Staff was excellent! Super friendly, professional, and accommodating. Would highly recommend.
What could be improved: Balcony Sliding door was finicky to lock but otherwise all fantastic.Very relaxing stay in a very comfortable hotel. – Maria from United Kingdom – 26 June 2025 (8/10)
The cleanliness; the pool and the staff at the pool. The room was a good size and so very comfortable.
What could be improved: It’s a bit far from the medics than I would have ideally wanted but the plus side of this is that it is relaxing. The waiting staff are quite laid back and sometimes it takes a while to be attended. The vegan options at breakfast are very poor and there are very few vegan options in the menus.Would highly recommend this hotel – great location, very comfortable and relaxed pool vibes – Hc1992 from Ireland – 21 June 2025 (10/10)
The room was huge with a massive bed which was extremely comfortable. The 2 pools were stunning – downstairs was better for quiet chill time, and the upstairs rooftop pool was drinks and music vibes. The brekkie was delicious. The surrounding area itself is really nice, walkable to lots of bars and restaurants and we felt very safe. It’s only about 10 mins taxi to the medina where you find the souk etc. For us it was perfect to stay in an area like this rather than the medina as we wanted a large pool and air conditioning as we went in June when the temperatures reached mid 40s. The staff were really helpful in arranging tours and taxis.
What could be improved: Not really a dislike but we didn’t eat in the main restaurant even tho it looked very good. The only reason is my boyfriend is allergic to fish and it was a fish restaurant.Excellent boutique hotel. Great location / facilities and value. – Frank from United Kingdom – 20 June 2025 (8/10)
Location is perfect . Close enough to the Medina if you fancy a visit and in the heart of modern part of the city with access to some great modern restaurants and bars
What could be improved: Perhaps too many pigeons in the pool area. The hotel could maybe look to see how these could be eradicated.Exceptional – Federica from Italy – 18 June 2025 (10/10)
We spent our stay in this hotel and both my friend and I were satisfied and happy with our stay.
All the staff were kind, thoughtful and attentive to our needs. Surely when I return to Morocco, I will go there to them.
Thank you for the hospitality you gave us. A kiss from 🇮🇹❤️A true gem in Marrakesh- stunning boutique hotel 💎 – Karolina from Norway – 10 June 2025 (10/10)
Every detail was thoughtfully designed, creating a beautiful and unique atmosphere throughout the hotel. The interiors are stunning, the rooftop pool and restaurant are perfect for relaxing with a cocktail (highly recommend the sangria!), and the location is ideal – close to the best restaurants and nightlife spots in the city.
The customer service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond, offering a personalized and attentive experience from start to finish. We came to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and they did more than I could have ever expected to make it special.
The breakfast buffet had everything we needed and more, and the 24/7 support made us feel truly cared for throughout our stay.
I’ll definitely be coming back – this place made our trip unforgettable.Good hotel for business visits but also for holiday. – Omore from Kenya – 8 June 2025 (9/10)
Excellent facilities, service, staff and food. Lovely rooftop bar.
