The duplex itself feels more like staying in someone’s well-appointed home than a hotel room, which I actually preferred. Those two pools aren’t huge, but they’re clean and – here’s the thing nobody mentions – they’re usually not crowded because it’s not a massive resort. I spent more time in the water here than I did at fancier places.

What really works is the space. Three bedrooms means you can actually spread out, and the layout gives you options – want to hang out together? Cool. Need some quiet time? There’s room for that too. The kitchen’s functional enough that we grabbed groceries from the Carrefour nearby (about a 10-minute walk) and made breakfast a few times instead of paying hotel prices. Check-in was pretty smooth, though the guy spoke more French than English – not a problem if you’ve got basic French, but something to keep in mind. The neighborhood gets a bit lively in the evenings, especially on weekends, but it’s more “people enjoying themselves” than “can’t sleep” loud. Actually, I kind of liked hearing the city doing its thing – reminded me I wasn’t stuck in some sterile hotel bubble.

It’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but everything works, it’s clean, the pools are a genuine plus, and you’re staying somewhere that feels connected to how Marrakech actually functions day to day.
