But this spacious two-bedroom apartment in the Berradi II area turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you want to keep it secret from other travelers.

The 90 square meters actually feels generous, especially by Marrakech standards where hotel rooms can feel pretty cramped. What I loved most was how it strikes this perfect balance between being close enough to the action but far enough from the Medina chaos that you can actually sleep at night. The Berradi II neighborhood is sort of having its moment right now – it’s where a lot of younger Moroccans are moving, so you’ll find some really good local cafés within walking distance that tourists haven’t discovered yet. There’s this bakery about three minutes away where the morning bread smell literally wakes you up in the best possible way.

The apartment itself has that modern Moroccan vibe without trying too hard, you know? Two proper bedrooms mean you’re not fighting over bathroom time, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. I mean, after a day of navigating the souks, having room to breathe is honestly priceless. The kitchen is actually functional too – not just for show like in some places – which comes in handy when you want to grab groceries from the local markets and try cooking with those incredible spices you bought. The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s not luxury but everything works properly and feels clean and well-maintained.

What really sold me on this place was the practical stuff that matters when you’re actually staying somewhere for more than a night. The wifi is solid (I was working remotely part of the time), the hot water doesn’t run out mid-shower, and – this might sound small but trust me – the beds are actually comfortable. So many places in Morocco have these rock-hard mattresses that leave you feeling like you wrestled with a camel all night. The 8.8 rating makes total sense when you consider that guests are probably relieved to find a place that just… works well without any drama.

The location is perfect if you want to experience Marrakech like someone who lives there rather than just passing through. You’re about a 15-minute taxi ride from Jemaa el-Fnaa when you want the full tourist experience, but you can also walk to regular neighborhood spots where families go for dinner and kids play soccer in the streets. I actually found myself spending more time in the local area than I planned because it felt so authentic. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it is closer to the old city, which matters if you’re thinking about renting a car for day trips to the Atlas Mountains.

  L'appartement était grand et spacieux, de style oriental, relativement propre, tout équipé : lit bébé, télévision, frigo, micro-ondes, espace pour se restaurer. Quartier calme et parking public gratuit juste devant la porte d'entrée de la maison.

  Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Bien que les propriétaires n’étaient pas présents physiquement, ils ont été disponibles et attentionnés tout au long par téléphone. J’ai également eu le plaisir de rencontrer son épouse, qui a été d’une grande gentillesse et m’a apporté son aide. Un grand merci pour cet accueil, nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

  Estaba todo muy bien. Un sitio tranquilo, pero también tiene tiendas cerca y todo lo necesario. Muy cerca de aeropuerto. El propietario estuvo muy pendiente de todo lo que nos hiciera falta, cada duds que yo tenía , el siempre me contestaba enseguida, me recomendó sitios para ir, me dejó entrar antes el primer día y salir después de la hora que debería ser el último día., el apartamento tiene 3 aires acondicionados y funcionan muy bien , grande y cómodo todo. Tiene todo lo necesario si quieres cocinar ,también una terraza con una barbacoa en la planta de arriba que es grande y está muy bien. Volveré a repetir y recomendare seguro a mis familiares y amigos que quieran venir a Marrakech. Es un anfitrión de 10. Muchas gracias por todo

  L emplacement est super, quartier sécurisé. Les gens sont agréables. C est juste qu il était un peu loin de la médina. La station de bus n est pas loin.acces à tout
  
  What could be improved: L internet ne marchait pas bien. Avoir une écran smart pour les enfants parce que celui que nous avions ne pouvait pas se connecter sur internet.

  La ubicación está a lado del aeropuerto y a 20 minutos del desierto de Agafay (fue por este motivo que cogimos el apartamento). Relación caldiad-precio está muy bien porque caben varias personas y hasta hay una cuna.
  
  What could be improved: Es un poco difícil de entcontrar por la numeración de las calles pero el anfitrión nos mandó una foto. Reservamos el apartamento con poquísima antelación, quizá por eso faltaban cosas como papel higiénico, pero por lo demás, bastante bien.

  The location was in a quite family orientated neighbourhood. Access was easy, although the location of the property was a little difficult to find the owner and his assistant were very responsive so we got there after a little while. The apartment was clean and tidy with access to the terrace and use of a washing machine which was very welcome as we'd been travelling in total for 7 weeks by ths point. The local shops had everything we needed. Cafes, bakeries and souk nearby. The city centre is around 15 minutes taxi drive away as well as Al Mazar mall if needing a supermarket. The neighbours were friendly. The apartment was a little cold over night but there is heating installed so we used that over night(we stayed in December) The apartment was very clean and tidy and it felt like home. The kitchen was well equipped too. We enjoyed visiting the local masjid regularly for prayers and buying fruit at the stalls outside afterwards.
  
  What could be improved: There was a lack of bedding and it was a little cold over night. there wasn't enough blankets to double up. I don't usually like using heating, but we did use it on this occasion and the apartment was warm enough. Everything else was perfect!

  L appartamento e molto pulito accogliente e dotato di tutti confort compreso l aria condizionata che indespensabile a marrakech e consgliabile sono trovato molto bene nonostante mio arrivo alle 1:30 di notte Mohamed un bravo ragazzo e disponibile e simpatico
