You know what surprised me about AbirKech? It’s tucked away in Palmeraie village 2, which honestly feels like discovering a secret corner of Marrakech that most tourists never stumble upon. I mean, everyone talks about staying in the medina or Gueliz, but this spot in the Palmeraie district – it’s actually where you get that authentic residential vibe without the constant chaos of scooters and street vendors outside your window.

The apartment itself sits in Pavillon G1, and I’ll be straight with you – finding apartment 12 took me about ten minutes of wandering around the complex initially, but that’s partly because the whole area is so lush and sprawling. Once you’re settled though, you realize why this place has that 9-rating. The space feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile hotel-room clean, if that makes sense. There’s this nice balance where everything works perfectly (the AC actually cools the place down, the wifi doesn’t cut out every five minutes), but it doesn’t feel like you’re staying in some corporate chain. The kitchen setup is solid too – I actually ended up cooking a few meals because the local market is just a short walk away, and honestly, after a few days of tagines and couscous, sometimes you just want to make yourself some eggs, you know?

What really got me was how quiet it gets at night. The Palmeraie area has this almost suburban feel once the sun goes down, which is wild considering you’re still technically in Marrakech. You can actually hear the palm trees rustling – sounds cheesy, but it’s true. During the day, you’re about a fifteen-minute taxi ride from Jemaa el-Fnaa if you want the full touristy experience, but honestly, I found myself just hanging around the neighborhood more than I expected. There’s this little café about two blocks away where the coffee is ridiculously good, and the guy who runs it started recognizing me by day three. The parking situation is pretty straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Morocco will tell you is not something to take for granted. I mean, you’re not dealing with the medina’s narrow alleys where you have to park half a kilometer away and haul your luggage through crowds. Here, you just… park. It’s refreshingly simple.

  It was very easy to find the location on Google map. The owner, Bouch, came to handover the keys to us.

  What could be improved: The accommodation was exceptional, quite, secure, clean, very comfortable and everything we needed. There are lot of space for car parking. There a supermarket nearby and very good restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  We stayed 4 members of the family one night. The apartment exeeded our expectations. The apartnent are situated in the beautiful secure arear of private villas, has free parking, terrace and 2 balconies with a wonderful view. The aparyments are governed by a family business and you can feel caring and attentive attitude in every detail starting from design, cleanliness and provision you with everything necessary for living ending with tiny things such as insence stiks. Everything is envisaged for the happy staying which we enjoyed much. We would have stayed more if we had more time in Marrakesh. Hope to book to this apartment next visit more days. 🤗
