I mean, when you’re standing on that second floor balcony at 394 Zouhour, you can practically reach out and touch the heartbeat of Marrakech. The medina’s just a quick walk away, and I’m talking like five minutes to get into the real chaos of the souks (in the best possible way).

The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that a lot of places try to fake but can’t quite pull off. The AC works – and trust me, you’ll appreciate that when those afternoon temperatures hit. The family who runs it actually lives nearby, which means when you need something, they’re not some faceless management company three time zones away. I had an issue with the Wi-Fi on my second day and the owner’s son showed up within twenty minutes with a new router. That’s the kind of attention you don’t get at the big chain hotels down in Gueliz.

What really won me over was the neighborhood vibe. Zouhour isn’t touristy at all – it’s where actual Marrakchis live their daily lives. There’s this little café around the corner where the owner makes these incredible msemen in the morning, and the smell drifts up to the apartment windows. The streets are narrow enough that you hear the call to prayer echoing between buildings, but not so narrow that you feel claustrophobic. And parking? Well, it’s Morocco, so it’s creative, but there’s usually space within a block or two if you’re driving.

The 8.6 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here a few days. It’s not luxury – the bathroom could use some updating and the kitchen equipment is pretty basic – but it’s got character and it works. The beds are actually comfortable (I was worried about that), and there’s enough space for a family without everyone stepping on each other. Plus, honestly, you’re not going to spend much time inside anyway. The real magic happens when you step outside and realize you’re in a part of Marrakech that most tourists never see, where the vendors know your face after day two and the local kids wave from their rooftops.

  The apartment was very large and comfortable for my party of 6. There were plenty of blankets for all of us. It also had a full bathroom and one 1/2 bath which was very convenient for a large group. We also were allowed to check in a day early after I had got the dates of our stay confused.
  
  What could be improved: Really can’t complain as overall it was a great place to stay; maybe, it would have been nicer to have had more towels available.

  Bardzo dobrze wyposażony, od kuchni, łazienki, po pokoje. Fajnie, że są dostępne, np. ładowarki. Położony blisko wszystkiego w spokojnej okolicy. Ze strony nie wyświetlała się lokalizacja na mapie google. Proponuję to skorygować. Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielem.

  Its was massive for 4 of us ….nice and quiet environment…the host was very helpful. You can find plenty traditional kebab shop and street food shop round there also they r cheap.
