Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Marrakech, but Alma Prestigia Appartments actually surprised me in the best way. When you first pull up to the Prestigia Corail complex, it doesn’t scream luxury – it’s more understated than flashy, which honestly I prefer. The building has this modern Moroccan vibe that doesn’t try too hard, you know? Clean lines mixed with just enough traditional touches that you remember you’re in Morocco, not some generic resort.

What really won me over was how spacious everything feels. These aren’t cramped hotel rooms – they’re proper apartments with kitchenettes that actually work (I made coffee every morning, and the espresso machine was decent). The living areas have these huge windows that let in all that gorgeous Marrakech light, and if you’re lucky enough to get a higher floor, the views toward the Atlas Mountains are… well, let’s just say my Instagram got a workout. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout the apartment, which matters when you’re trying to work remotely or video call family back home. I mean, nothing kills the vacation vibe like pixelated faces on FaceTime.

The location is pretty smart too – you’re in the newer part of Marrakech, so it’s quieter than staying near Jemaa el-Fnaa (where the snake charmers and drummers never sleep), but you can still get to the medina in about 15 minutes by taxi. There’s actually a decent café right around the corner that serves proper Moroccan mint tea, and the staff there started recognizing me after day two. The complex has its own parking, which is huge if you’re renting a car – trust me, you don’t want to deal with finding street parking in Marrakech.

Honestly, the service felt more personal than I expected. The front desk guy, Hassan, gave me actual restaurant recommendations that weren’t tourist traps, and when I mentioned I was looking for a good hammam, he directed me to this local place that was amazing and cost half what the fancy hotel spas charge. The housekeeping was thorough without being intrusive – they’d leave little touches like fresh mint or dates, which sounds small but makes you feel welcomed rather than just processed.

The pool area is where you’ll probably spend your afternoons if you’re not exploring the city. It’s not massive, but it’s clean and usually not crowded, especially if you go in the morning. The water’s actually heated, which matters more than you’d think during winter months when Marrakech can get surprisingly cool. There are enough lounge chairs that you don’t have to wake up at dawn to claim one, and the poolside service is quick enough that you won’t die of thirst waiting for that mint lemonade.

I’ll be honest – it’s not the most central location if you want to stumble out of bed and into the souks, but that 9.1 rating makes sense when you factor in the space, the service, and the fact that you get actual peace and quiet. Sometimes you want to love a place because it’s convenient, but this is one of those spots you love because it just works.
