Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Marrakech, and honestly? Amberdi Noria caught me off guard in the best way possible. The address might look intimidating with all those numbers and “Résidence ISLI” business, but here’s the thing – it’s actually in this quieter pocket of the city that feels like you’ve stumbled onto something locals have been keeping to themselves.

The apartment itself is what I’d call thoughtfully put together. You know how some places feel like they just threw furniture at a room and called it decorated? This isn’t that. Walking in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually lives here (or at least cares enough to make it feel that way). The space breathes – I mean, you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, and the light hits differently throughout the day, which honestly makes a huge difference when you’re trying to shake off jet lag or just want to read without squinting. The kitchen actually functions too, which is rarer than you’d think. I ended up cooking a few meals because, well, sometimes you need a break from tagines, and having proper counter space and appliances that work made it feel less like camping and more like temporarily living somewhere beautiful.

What really sells this place though is the neighborhood vibe. Chrifia isn’t the tourist circus you’ll find closer to Jemaa el-Fnaa – it’s got this residential rhythm where you’ll hear the call to prayer mixing with kids playing in the streets and the occasional motorbike puttering by. There’s a little café about two blocks away (I never caught the name, but it’s got blue tiles out front) where the coffee is ridiculously good and costs almost nothing. The walk to the medina is totally doable, maybe fifteen minutes if you’re not in a hurry, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant hustle of touts and vendors when you just want to grab groceries or take a breather. Parking – and this matters if you’re renting a car – isn’t the nightmare it can be in other parts of the city. The building has this secure entrance situation that made me feel comfortable leaving my stuff and actually exploring without constantly checking over my shoulder. Check-in was smooth too, none of that “meet me at the corner with the broken streetlight” nonsense. The whole experience felt professional but not sterile, if that makes sense. I’d definitely come back, particularly during the shoulder seasons when Marrakech isn’t quite so intense and you can actually enjoy sitting on the terrace without melting into a puddle.

  Un endroit magnifique, calme et parfaitement entretenu. L'atmosphère paisible et la propreté irréprochable ont rendu cette escapade particulièrement agréable. Mes enfants ont adoré chaque instant, profitant de la grande piscine à leur disposition. Un lieu idéal pour se ressourcer en famille et créer de beaux souvenirs. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

  I had a great stay at this apartment in Marrakech! The location is perfect and very safe. The place was clean, beautifully decorated, and spacious, with a lovely terrace just a few steps from the swimming pool. Communication with the owner was smooth and easy. I highly recommend this apartment and will definitely book it again if I return to Marrakech!

  Wij hebben een erg prettig verblijf gehad. De woning was heel schoon, netjes en keurig ingericht. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig – echt van alle gemakken voorzien. De communicatie verliep soepel en snel via WhatsApp. Zeker een aanrader!
  Bovendien ligt het verblijf op een rustige locatie, wat voor extra ontspanning zorgde. Bedankt en we komen zeker terug!
