It’s tucked away on Avenue Yacoub El Marini in this modern building that feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos, but you’re still right in the heart of Gueliz. I mean, when you step out the door, you’re literally in Marrakech’s French quarter – the part where locals actually live and work, not just where they sell carpets to visitors.

The apartment itself is honestly better than most hotels I’ve stayed at in Morocco. It’s got that clean, minimalist vibe that works so well when you’re dealing with the sensory overload that is Marrakech. The building (Immeuble Tachfine, if you’re looking for it) is one of those newer constructions that actually has reliable elevators and decent soundproofing – trust me, this matters more than you think when you’re trying to sleep off jet lag. What really sold me was the kitchen setup. It’s actually functional, not just for show, which is perfect because sometimes you need a break from tagines and want to grab some groceries from the Carrefour down the street.

Location-wise, you’re in that sweet spot where you can walk to the medina when you want that authentic experience (it’s about a 15-minute stroll), but you can also escape to air-conditioned cafes and normal-sized doorways when you need a breather. The neighborhood has this great mix – you’ve got the trendy Hivernage district practically next door with its upscale restaurants and lounges, plus all the practical stuff like pharmacies, banks, and decent coffee shops within a couple blocks. Honestly, staying here made me feel less like a tourist and more like I was actually living in Marrakech for a while. The 8.4 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be fancy or traditional, it’s just genuinely comfortable and well-located. Plus, parking is way easier here than anywhere near the medina, which your taxi driver will definitely appreciate.

  Everything was okay.

  The host is the best. She’s very reachable and helpful in any situations. Location is great, and the apartment itself is very comfortable and beautiful decorated, I can feel the vibes of Moroccan atmosphere.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing is that they don’t have washing machine but you can find laundry shops in a few steps walking.

  The location is very good; there are really a lot of great restaurants nearby.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately, there are cockroaches in the apartment. They tried to kill them before we arrived — you could immediately tell by the smell throughout the apartment — but it didn’t work. They were in the bedroom and the living room, even in the kitchen sink

  The apartment is very close to carre Eden shopping mall and carrefour. There are also some very good restaurants 10 mins walking distance.
  
  What could be improved: There was no cleanliness. There was broth (most probably from previous stays) in the kettle, there were a lot of insects and worse of all cockroaches. We stayed 8 days and the property was cleaned once during this time.
  
  The mattress is very hard and uncomfortable, the pillows were small and uncomfortable. We couldn’t sleep properly.
  
  The bathroom needs to be fixed, there’s water leaking, behind the sink/toilet, and cracks in the ceiling. The window also doesn’t close properly.

  I liked the area because it s very central to all the amenities and the businesses I was communicating with.
  
  What could be improved: 1/ Nothing to like when you had to wait for almost half an hour in a very hot weather, to collect your apartment’s!
  2/ booking.com didn’t provide the full address so my taxi driver dropped me at the address and left whereas I had to make many phone calls y til a lady with the name of Roberta called me and sent the porter of the building to where I was waiting nearby!
