You know what struck me first about this apartment? The address looks intimidating if you don’t speak Arabic, but honestly, once you’re there it all makes sense. It’s tucked away in the Gueliz district on Avenue de la Résistance – basically the modern heart of Marrakech where locals actually live and work, not just the touristy medina everyone talks about. I mean, don’t get me wrong, you’ll still want to explore the old city, but there’s something refreshing about staying where real life happens.

The building itself is called Résidence Blida, and you’ll be on the fourth floor (there’s an elevator, thank god, because Marrakech heat plus stairs is not a fun combo). What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being on a main avenue – the windows actually block out most of the street noise, which is pretty crucial since Moroccan traffic never really sleeps. The apartment has that perfect balance of being authentic without making you feel like you’re roughing it. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you settle in; it’s those little touches that matter, like having proper water pressure in the shower and reliable wifi that actually works for video calls back home.

Location-wise, you’re about a 10-minute walk from Carré Eden shopping center if you need anything familiar, but honestly the real gem is being so close to the local cafés and restaurants that don’t bother with English menus. There’s this little spot around the corner where they do incredible tagine – I stumbled across it completely by accident on my second day. The neighborhood feels safe for wandering, even in the evenings, and you’ll see families out with kids pretty late, which is always a good sign. Getting to the medina takes maybe 15 minutes in a petit taxi (shouldn’t cost more than 20 dirhams), or you can walk it in about 25 minutes if you’re feeling adventurous. The host was actually super helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations – not just the obvious tourist places, but spots where they personally eat. That kind of local insight is worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to experience a city authentically rather than just checking boxes on some travel itinerary.

  Spacious, everything is available to make the stay as comfortable as possible. I am rating it 9 only for the location as so much construction around it. We had a car so that was not a big deal. Even without a car you can get a taxi to get everywhere you want. The concierge was very helpful and helped in parking and answering questions.
  Hamid the owner is very responsive and gave me very helpful tips for whatever I asked him.

  The apartment is well maintained,comfortable, and provided with basic like toiletries and detergent.Kitchen has plates, utensils, and most basic stuff.There is enough bedding and towels.
  The owner of the property is very supportive , helpful, and down to earth.
  It is about 20 to 30 mins walk from train station and in middle of airport and old medina.You need taxi or car and it will take 10 to 15 mins to reach old medina and airport respectively.
  If you love walk then it will take 1 hrs walk to old medina/koutibia mosque etc.
  
  What could be improved: The only downside is the pool as it is outdoors and not heated. It would be fine in summer but can't be used in winter,even outside the temperature was around 20 C.
  It would be good in summer as we have previously experienced outdoor pool in summer.
  The pool is cleaned and well maintained.

  Everything was perfectly organized, sheets and towels were clean, apartment was smelling good, the apartment was also close to the city center almost 3 min, and that made it easy for us to get to
  restaurants, malls, attractions etc, plus a very welcoming and friendly owner ( Rashid ), big thanks to him 👐🏻 and definitely i’ll try to contact mr Rashid next time i’ll be in Marrakech.
