The name makes it sound like some tiny studio, but this place is actually a proper apartment in one of those newer residential complexes that locals are moving into. I mean, when you’re searching for places in Marrakech, you’re probably thinking riads and traditional hotels, but honestly — sometimes you just want a normal place to spread out, especially if you’re staying more than a few days.

The Résidence Izdihar 3 sits in Mhamid 9, which is one of those neighborhoods that’s not quite the medina chaos but not suburban either. You’re looking at maybe a 15-minute taxi ride to Jemaa el-Fnaa, though the drivers always know exactly where you’re going once you mention the residence name. What I really appreciated was the quiet — you get those early morning call to prayers drifting over, but none of the tourist restaurant noise or late-night drumming that can drive you crazy in Gueliz. The building itself is pretty standard modern Moroccan architecture, white walls and iron balconies, but it’s well-maintained and the elevator actually works (trust me, this matters when you’re hauling luggage up).

Inside, the apartment feels like someone’s actual home rather than a hotel room that’s been decorated by committee. The kitchen is properly equipped — I mean, you can actually cook here if you want to hit up the local markets, and there’s enough counter space to spread out your tagine ingredients. The living area has this nice mix of traditional Moroccan touches without going overboard on the tourist-y stuff, and honestly, after a day of navigating the souks, it’s refreshing to come back somewhere that feels calm and uncluttered. The bedroom gets good morning light but stays cool in the afternoons, which is crucial during summer months. One thing that surprised me was how good the wifi actually is — I ended up working from here a couple of mornings and had zero issues with video calls back home. The 9.4 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting apartment-style space and privacy at hotel-level cleanliness and service. Sure, you’re not getting a concierge or daily mint on your pillow, but the host is responsive and the whole setup just works smoothly. It’s particularly perfect if you’re the type who wants to experience Marrakech but also needs a proper retreat at the end of the day.

  L'appartement situé au début du M'hamid 9 est idéalement placé car vous avez facilement accès au centre ville et à la médina. Le soir le quartier, particulièrement calme et dégagé de l'agitation et du bruit du centre ville,, permet de bien se reposer.
  En bas de l'immeuble on trouve une excellente pâtisserie Gaza, un super restaurant Le chouff l'or et tous les services.
  Du balcon on a une vue incroyable sur le haut Atlas et le Jbel Toubkal (plud de 4000m)

  L’appartamento è spazioso, pulito e ben strutturato, aria condizionata in ogni angolo , frigo, lavatrice ,tv , Wi-Fi, perfino robot per pulire per terra,
  Oltre tutto c’è un bellissimo e grandissimo terrazzo con tutto il necessario per una bellissima chiacchierata alla sera .

  Everything was good, the house was big and clean. The lady Hayat was also very kind, she gave us a lot of advices for the trip, plus we were supposed to checkout at 10am, but she let us stay until noon. We loved our stay there.
