You know what struck me first about Appartement Andalou? The location actually feels like you’re staying in a real Marrakech neighborhood, not some tourist bubble. It’s tucked away in the Targa Al Inara area – honestly, I had to ask my taxi driver to slow down because these residential streets all look similar at first, but once you find it, you’ll remember the way.

The building itself has this understated Moroccan charm that doesn’t try too hard. I mean, you’re not going to get those Instagram-perfect riads with the soaring courtyards here, but what you do get is something that feels more authentic. The apartments are spacious – and I actually mean spacious, not “spacious for Europe” spacious. There’s real room to spread out, which was perfect after those long days wandering the medina. The décor leans into the Andalusian theme without going overboard on the tile work, and honestly, the air conditioning works better than half the fancier places I’ve stayed in Morocco. The kitchenette is actually functional too, which matters when you want to grab fresh oranges from the local market and make juice in the morning.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to know the area inside and out. They pointed me toward this little café about ten minutes’ walk away that serves the best msemen I had in Marrakech – definitely not something you’d find in a guidebook. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’ll see kids playing football in the streets around sunset and smell tagines cooking from nearby houses. It’s maybe a 15-minute taxi ride to Jemaa el-Fnaa, but you’re far enough out that you can actually sleep at night without hearing scooters and street vendors until 2 AM. There’s decent parking right there, which – trust me – is not something you can take for granted in Marrakech. The whole area feels safe for walking, though like anywhere, you’ll want to have your taxi driver’s number handy for getting back after dark. I’d say this place hits that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing real Moroccan life without sacrificing the comfort you need to recharge between adventures.

  What could be improved: Like usual in Morocco, they will give you the wrong apartment. The wrong one was nice and renovated but only had 2 bedrooms, I've booked 3 bedrooms. The 3 bedrooms was just ok. All the kitchen appliances need to be replaced. Really old and not practical.
  23 minutes drive to the city centre. Very difficult to get a taxi.

  Très belle et grand appartement adapté au famille.
  Bonne location pour ceux qui sont en voiture.
  On se sent comme à la maison avec une cuisine fonctionnelle et tout les ustensiles nécessaires. Le propriétaire est disponible et très sympa, je recommande.
