You know what struck me first about Appartement Dalila? It’s got this perfect balance thing going on – far enough from the medina’s chaos that you can actually sleep, but close enough that you’re not spending half your vacation in taxis. The building sits on Avenue Al Wahda, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is. It’s actually one of those tree-lined streets in Gueliz where you’ll see more locals than tourists, which I always take as a good sign.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish aunt lives there – I mean that in the best way possible. Everything’s thoughtfully put together without being stuffy or trying too hard. The owner, Dalila, clearly knows what travelers actually need because there are outlets where you expect them, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the shower has proper water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think in Marrakech). The kitchen’s fully equipped too, which is clutch if you want to hit the morning markets and cook something up, or just need coffee that doesn’t cost 40 dirhams every time.

What really sold me though was the neighborhood vibe. You’re literally a five-minute walk from some of the best local spots – there’s this tiny bakery around the corner where the croissants are better than anything you’ll find in the tourist zones, and the evening street life is perfect for people-watching without feeling like you’re the entertainment. The 9.4 rating isn’t just numbers either – you can feel it in the details. Check-in was smooth (no awkward key-juggling or confused explanations), the place was spotless, and when I had a question about the best hammam nearby, I got actual recommendations, not just tourist trap suggestions. The only tiny thing I’d mention is that if you’re planning to come during the cooler months, the evenings can get chilly and you might want to ask about extra blankets ahead of time. But honestly, that’s splitting hairs. For a 4-star place that actually delivers on what it promises, Appartement Dalila gets it right in all the ways that matter when you just want to feel settled somewhere instead of like you’re camping out in a hotel room.

  The property manager was excellent at assisting us throughout our stay in Marrakech. The apartment was spacious, clean, bright and had many local amenities. The apartment even had a lift to make our stay easier. Will definitely book again when I am in Marrakech.

  I want to start with saying the host Zaid and his mother are some of the kindest people we have met in Marrakech. From the beginning of our stay we got very clear instructions and communication. Zaid speaks fluent english, french and the local dialect so he can also help you arranging everything you need. The apartment is located in a nice local neighbourhood with grocerie stores, restaurants and other facilities within walking distance. Also it is just a 15 minute drive to the famous Medina with the streetmarkets and about 10 minutes to the modern area called Gueliz where you can find a lot of nice restaurants and shopping malls. I would definitely recommend this place to other people visiting Marrakech and hope to be back in the near future!

  The first good impression for this apartment was made by the host who was respectful, professional and eager to help in any way he could during our short stay. The apartment is located on a pleasant, tree-lined road, just around the corner from a street that contains plenty shops, restaurants and every other service that you might need. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the wifi worked perfectly. All in all, we loved this apartment and wished we could have stayed longer. It will definitely be at the top of our list for a return trip, Incha'Allah.

  We sayed there for 4 nights and The location was very ideal close to main square ,jamaa el afna ,bahia Palace and other side new city just 15min drive.
  
  What could be improved: The host zaid was very helpful and spoke very good English,he was the only man I met who actually speaks English, he will tell you the places to visit how to visit and even how much we should pay the taxi.
