You know what struck me first about this place? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there – “appartement dans Jardin de l’atlas” literally feels like you’re staying in someone’s garden apartment, except that garden happens to look out toward the Atlas Mountains. It’s about 13 kilometers down the route de l’ourika, which honestly is one of my favorite drives from Marrakech because you’re heading toward the mountains and the whole vibe starts shifting from city chaos to something more… I don’t know, peaceful I guess.

The setup here is pretty clever – it’s got that 4-star comfort level without feeling stuffy or hotel-like. I mean, you’re basically in an apartment, so there’s actually space to spread out and live a little, which is huge if you’ve been bouncing between cramped riads in the medina. The location on the Ourika road is brilliant because you’re far enough out to escape the constant scooter honking and tourist hustle, but close enough that a taxi back to Jemaa el-Fnaa is totally doable for dinner. What I really loved though was how quiet it gets at night – you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of call to prayer echoing off narrow walls (not that there’s anything wrong with that, but sometimes you want a different Morocco experience, you know?).

The property itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, which explains that 8.9 rating. There’s something refreshing about having kitchen access and not feeling like you have to eat every meal out – especially when you discover the little local markets along the Ourika road where you can grab fresh olives and bread. The mountain views are legitimately spectacular, particularly in the late afternoon when the light hits just right. I’d say the only minor thing is that you’ll definitely want a car or be comfortable with taxis, because walking to restaurants isn’t really an option from here. But honestly, that’s kind of the point – you’re trading medina convenience for space, quiet, and those incredible Atlas views. If you’re doing Marrakech for the first time and want to stay in the thick of things, maybe this isn’t your spot. But if you’ve done the medina thing before, or you’re looking for a base to explore the Ourika Valley and mountain day trips, this place just makes sense.

  What could be improved: Tutto molto bello l’unica mancanza è che il complesso abitativo è gigante e Se dovete andare al waky per fare wakeboard preparatevi a fare una camminata di circa una ventina di minuti se non avete una macchina per spostarvi…

  This was a wonderful place for a relaxing stay. Clean and comfortable, in a quiet location not far outside Marrakesh, with a nice swimming pool just a short stroll away. The property adjoins a golf course as well. The apartment is compactly designed, and everything we needed was there. We bought some pastries in Marrakesh and made tea and had our breakfast on the balcony, which overlooks a fountain garden – a memory I will revisit when life gets hectic. It was lovely.

  What could be improved: The parking lot (free) is underground; it did take a minute to find our assigned space, but during our stay there weren't that many cars parked so really no issues.

  What could be improved: Séjour catastrophique. Équipements en très mauvais état. Rideaux détachés, portes placard qui grincent, très sale, regarder sous les lits et canapé couche épaisse de poussière, chaises traces saleté. Coupure d’eau sans cesse et pendant plusieurs heures. Impossible de se doucher et se laver. Dès que l’eau revient on remplit les bassines pour pouvoir se laver à l’eau froide. 2ème chambre armoire fermée à clef impossible de ranger les vêtements, donc sont restés dans la valise. Climatisation ne fonctionnait pas au début puis dégage une odeur désagréable insupportable au quotidien.
