The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious – I mean, when you hear “apartment hotel,” you sort of expect cramped rooms, but this place gets it right. The setup is smart too; they’ve managed to keep that Moroccan aesthetic without going overboard with the tourist-trap decorations. The kitchen is actually functional (rare in hotel apartments, trust me), and the air conditioning works properly, which… well, if you’ve been to Marrakech in summer, you know that’s not always a given. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – the Prestige Targa complex is gated, so you don’t get the street noise that can drive you crazy in the city center. The parking situation is handled too, which is honestly a massive relief if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the Atlas Mountains.

Here’s the thing about the location that most travel sites won’t tell you – you’re about a 10-minute drive from Jemaa el-Fnaa, but you’re also close to some of the newer parts of Marrakech where locals actually hang out. There’s this great little café about five minutes away where the coffee doesn’t cost tourist prices, and the Carrefour nearby is a lifesaver for stocking up on water and snacks. The staff at Appartement Marrakech seem to get that travelers want local insights – they’ll point you toward the good hammams and restaurants that aren’t in every guidebook. I actually ended up having one of my best meals at a place they recommended, this tiny family-run spot that I never would have found otherwise. The only minor downside is that you’ll want to arrange transportation into the old city rather than walking – it’s doable but not particularly pleasant on foot. But honestly, that distance is also what makes this place work. You get the authentic Marrakech experience during the day, then come back to a modern, comfortable space where you can actually relax and recharge.
