You know what caught me off guard about this place? Walking into Appartement Marrakech Gueliz actually feels like you’re staying at someone’s well-appointed city apartment rather than a typical hotel room. It’s tucked away on the third floor of Résidence Nour 1 on Rue Moulay Ali, and honestly, that’s part of its charm – you’re right in the heart of Gueliz but away from the main street chaos.

The location is pretty brilliant if you know Marrakech at all. Gueliz is where locals actually live and work, so you’ll find yourself grabbing coffee at normal Moroccan prices instead of tourist markup. I mean, you can walk to Carré Eden shopping center in about five minutes, and there’s this little café around the corner that serves the best msemen I’ve had outside of someone’s grandmother’s kitchen. The apartment itself has that modern Moroccan aesthetic down – clean lines, good lighting, and they’ve actually invested in decent air conditioning (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in summer). What I really liked was the kitchen setup – it’s not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. You can actually cook if you want to, which is perfect when you need a break from tagines every single meal.

The building’s pretty quiet, especially compared to staying near Jemaa el-Fnaa where the noise never really stops. You’ll hear the call to prayer, obviously, but it’s more atmospheric than disruptive. Parking can be a bit of a dance – the street gets busy during the day, but the host knows the area well and gave me solid advice about where to leave the car. Check-in was smooth, though you’ll want to confirm the exact apartment number beforehand since the building has a few different entrances. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury resort level, but it delivers exactly what it promises. The WiFi actually works (novel concept, I know), the shower has proper water pressure, and the beds are comfortable enough that you won’t spend your vacation complaining about your back. Plus, being in an apartment building means you get a genuine feel for how people live in this part of the city. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer trip where having a proper kitchen and living space would matter more than daily housekeeping.

  The location is excellent, the flat is clean, specious with air condition , fully equipped kitchen. The building is excellent with 24 hr security. There are few nice restaurants in the area for dinners (Moroccan, Italian, Lebanese, Thai in addition to fast food) easy to take the public bus or taxi to go to Madina , it’s just a straight line to Al Fana square or you can walk 30 min while browsing the shops on both sides of the main road. The best shopping mall in Marrakech is 4 minutes walking.

  Nous étions en famille avec nos enfants l'appartement étant très spacieux.
  Vraiment au centre de gueliz proche de tout .
  Et vous avez tout à côté : boulangerie , patisserie , petit commerce , spa , bureau de change , restaurant , fast food , boutique de souvenirs , café lounge…
  Nous avions l'habitude de prendre des hôtels lorsque nous venions à Marrakech mais dorénavant je prendrai direct cet appartement sans hésiter !!!

  prima appartement miste alleen wat nachtkasjes bij het bed. Verder een prima host die graag wilde helpen. Een prima locatie maar houd rekening met enig geluidoverlast van enkele bars in de straat.

  Location was great. Apartment was clean and comfortable. A walking distance to bar and restaurants. The host was friendly and offered assistance as needed.
  
  What could be improved: The only drawback was the noise from the club across the street if you are sensitive to noise and have small kids. We were there on a Saturday night though so it is possible to be quieter on weekdays.
