So I stayed at Appartement Nour 5 and honestly, it’s one of those finds that makes you feel like you actually know Marrakech instead of just passing through as a tourist. The location is perfect – you’re right in Hivernage, which is sort of the sweet spot between the crazy energy of the medina and the modern Gueliz district. I mean, you can walk to Avenue Mohammed VI for proper shopping and decent coffee, but you’re also close enough to hear the call to prayer echoing from the old city without being overwhelmed by the constant hustle.

The apartment itself is on the 5th floor (thank god there’s an elevator because Moroccan stairs can be brutal in the heat), and what really struck me was how the pool area becomes this little oasis in the afternoon. You know what’s nice? The other guests were mostly families and couples, not party groups, so it actually stays pretty peaceful. The building on Rue el Adarissa feels secure – there’s a proper entrance system and the neighbors seem to be long-term residents, which gives it a more authentic neighborhood vibe rather than that sterile hotel feeling. I noticed the apartment gets great light in the morning, and the kitchen is actually functional if you want to grab stuff from the local market and cook something simple.

Here’s what I really appreciated – the area comes alive differently throughout the day. Mornings are quiet except for the occasional taxi, but by evening you’ve got this gentle buzz of people walking to restaurants in Hivernage or heading toward Gueliz. The 8.1 rating makes sense because while it’s not luxury luxury, everything works properly and it’s clean without being overly sanitized. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but honestly most places in Marrakech are like that unless you’re at a resort. The check-in was smooth (they actually showed up on time, which isn’t always a given with apartment rentals), and I got the impression they’re used to dealing with international guests who might not speak French or Arabic. One small thing – the hot water takes a minute to get going, but that’s pretty standard for older buildings in Morocco, and once it’s hot, it stays hot. If you’re the type who needs everything to be exactly like home, this might not be your thing, but if you want to feel like you’re actually staying in Marrakech rather than just visiting it, this place delivers.

  Pool was nice and there was a washing machine and detergent. Close to a supermarket (bring your own bags). Staff was very helpful and there are security people at the door.

  Simple, clean and safe apartment with all you need for a short stay. Strategic location next to bus stations and main train station as well if you plan to travel further around the country.
  
  What could be improved: It is nothing wrong about the apartment or area, but keep in mind it is a bit far away from the old city, about 1 hour walking. Taxi's are really inexpensive in Morocco though, and easy to find, so this distance should not be a big problem unless you expect to stay really in the old medina…

  A very small apartment, perfect only for 2 people. Additional guests are accepted without hesitation, but they will need to be comfortable sleeping on mattresses placed in any available corners.
  A balcony from which you can see the sunset and the distant mountains, also serves as a place to wash and dry laundry (towels, still damp).
  A major advantage of this apartment is that all the windows face away from the very busy and noisy boulevard. Communication in English or French with the responsible individuals of this apartment is a bit confusing, especially regarding the exact address and the necessary directions to find this apartment. Nevertheless, the apartment is a 5-minute walk from the train or bus station. The possibility of reaching the city center by local buses, taxis, or even on foot (30 minutes) should be considered.
  
  What could be improved: The kitchen is very minimally equipped.
  Especially in the bathroom, some repairs need to be done as soon as possible, and hygiene products would add a small value to this apartment.
  The bedding and towels, of undefined colors with a strong gray undertone, smelled freshly laundered.

  Was a lovely stay! The apartment was warm and exactly as shown in the pictures. Khalid is very nice and attentive. Explained everything to us and was checking on us what we will be arriving to provide us with the keys.
  Close to everywhere. MENARA, MENARA MALL. 4 MINS DRIVE. 10 MINS DRIVE TO THE JAMAA LFNA SQUARE. 4 MINS DRIVE TO GUELIZ. TRAIN STATION 2 MINUTES. CTM STATION 2 MINUTES DRIVE.
  the best possible location. Area is very nice and quiet. Has got parking which is very convenient for everyone.
