I mean, you’re not exactly oceanfront here in Marrakech, but there’s something about having that private garden that makes the whole “water” thing make sense – there’s this lovely pool area where you can actually dip your feet and pretend you’re somewhere coastal while still being right in the heart of Morocco.

The location on Boulevard Mohamed VI is pretty smart, actually. It’s one of those spots where you get the best of both worlds – you’re close enough to the medina that you can walk there (though let’s be real, you’ll probably want to grab a petit taxi when it’s blazing hot), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant noise and chaos. I stayed here during Ramadan once, and the evenings were perfect because you could hear the call to prayer drifting over from the old city without feeling like you were camping in Jemaa el-Fnaa. The boulevard itself gets busy during rush hour – around 8 AM and 6 PM – but it’s that good kind of busy where you feel connected to the city’s rhythm, not overwhelmed by it.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail that you don’t expect from a 4-star property. The apartment setup means you get actual space to spread out (thank god, because Marrakech shopping will leave you with bags everywhere), and that private garden… well, it’s become my favorite spot for morning coffee before the day gets too intense. The mint tea tastes better when you’re surrounded by those traditional Moroccan tiles and can smell the orange blossoms – sounds cheesy, but it’s true. The whole property has this lived-in feel that’s way more authentic than those massive resort complexes closer to the Atlas Mountains. Plus, the 8.8 rating isn’t just inflated booking site nonsense – the staff actually remembers your name and will help you navigate everything from taxi negotiations to restaurant recommendations that aren’t tourist traps. They pointed me toward this incredible tagine place about ten minutes away that I never would have found otherwise. Check-in was smooth too, none of that “your room isn’t ready even though it’s 4 PM” drama that seems to plague half the places I’ve stayed in Morocco.
