AppartHotel Atrani Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to AppartHotel Atrani on Avenue Hassan II, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. But you know what? Sometimes the best places in Marrakech hide behind modest facades, and this turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special in the Hivernage district.
The thing about staying here is that you’re actually in one of the newer parts of the city, which means the streets are wider and you can breathe a bit easier after spending days navigating the medina’s maze-like alleys. I mean, don’t get me wrong – I love the old city’s chaos, but there’s something to be said for having space to stretch out. The hotel itself feels more like a modern apartment building than your typical Moroccan riad, which honestly works in its favor. The rooms have that clean, contemporary feel with enough space to actually unpack your suitcase (a luxury you don’t always get in traditional places). What really got me was the attention to practical details – proper shower pressure, reliable wifi, and air conditioning that actually works during those sweltering summer months when Marrakech turns into an oven.
The location is pretty clever, actually. You’re close enough to Avenue Mohammed VI that you can easily grab a taxi or walk to some decent restaurants, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with constant noise and hassle. There’s a Carrefour about ten minutes away if you need to stock up on water or snacks – trust me, you’ll want to keep bottles in your room because the Moroccan sun is no joke. The staff here gets it too; they’re not pushy like some places where they’re constantly trying to sell you excursions or overpriced tours. They’ll help you sort out transportation to Jemaa el-Fnaa (about a 15-minute taxi ride) or give you actual useful directions to places worth visiting. I particularly appreciated that they could arrange airport transfers without the usual runaround – and the price was reasonable, not the tourist markup you sometimes get. The whole setup feels like it’s designed for people who want to experience Marrakech without feeling like they’re being managed every step of the way. Sure, it’s not the most Instagram-worthy place you’ll ever stay, but sometimes you just want somewhere clean, comfortable, and honest where you can recharge between exploring the souks and dealing with the beautiful madness that is Morocco.

Great location if you are taking the train or bus. It's very quiet at night and rooms are big and comfortable.
What could be improved: Found it hard to get into the shower due to how the shower door was positioned, but once in the shower was great with plenty of hot water.Very good – Ntoris from United Kingdom – 10 May 2025 (8/10)

It’s very well maintained apartment hygiene is 10/10 .Staffs were very polite and helpful especially Izzadeen who is always happy to assist and solve the querries.Izzadeen always made us feel welcome& friendly. The property is secured well with CCTV 24 hrs.
What could be improved: The location at the moment surrounded by construction sites that’s not shown in any of there pictures that’s uploaded when I raised the query on the same for cancellation on which the booking allowed me to.The hotel management said the full amount will be still be charged,it highly disappointed us. Although the stay and hospitality was great the location with the construction site put us down. I would have been happy if they had let us cancel the or charged us a little lower as a goodwill since they haven’t put the Real view in any pictures they had uploaded.Superb – Remi from Singapore – 14 March 2025 (9/10)

Stayed at Atrani to avoid returning to the overhyped, overpriced riads in Marrakesh’s congested old town.
Atrani studio apartment was reasonably modern, clean and spacious.
OK value for money although the bed mattress was hard uneven and uncomfortable.
What could be improved: Atrani is situated next to a building site in the modern part of Marrakesh.
However. Atrani’s location is a short walk from the modern main train station area, restaurants with clean food, and the Grand Plaza Hotel (I had already stayed at the Plaza to help recover from severe food poisoning suffered during initial old town riad stay, the Plaza room rate was lower than my old town riad rate).
