Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Atlas Golf resort, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. It’s got that sort of understated Moroccan resort vibe that could go either way, you know? But once you get past the lobby (which, okay, could use a refresh), this place actually surprised me. The golf course is genuinely beautiful – and I’m saying this as someone who’s normally more interested in the 19th hole than the first tee. The Atlas Mountains backdrop is spectacular, especially in the late afternoon when the light hits just right. You’re about 20 minutes from Marrakech’s medina, which honestly is perfect – close enough for day trips but far enough that you’re not dealing with the chaos when you want to unwind.

What really won me over was how the staff actually seemed to care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth, and the guy at reception gave me genuinely useful tips about avoiding the tourist traps in town (take the petit taxi to Jemaa el-Fnaa, not the horse carriages – trust me on this). The rooms are solid 4-star standard – nothing fancy, but the AC works well (crucial in Marrakech summers), and the beds are actually comfortable. I mean, the bathroom could use some updating, but the shower pressure is decent and the towels don’t feel like sandpaper. The pool area gets busy around 2 PM when families arrive, but mornings are beautifully quiet if you want to actually swim laps instead of dodging kids.

Here’s the thing about Atlas Golf resort – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Morocco, and that’s actually refreshing. The restaurant serves decent tagines (though honestly, you’ll find better in the medina), and the breakfast buffet has enough variety to keep you happy without being overwhelming. The golf course itself is well-maintained, and green fees are reasonable compared to European resort courses. Parking is free and plentiful, which matters more than you’d think when you’re renting a car to explore the Atlas valleys. The 7.8 rating feels about right – it’s a solid choice that delivers on what it promises without any major surprises, good or bad. If you’re looking for a base to explore Marrakech and maybe squeeze in some golf, this works really well. Just don’t expect cutting-edge luxury, and you’ll leave pretty satisfied.

  Gute Ausstattung inkl. Waschmaschine, sehr gutes Frühstück ,sehr sicher, Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür.
  Man muss sich bewusst sein das es ein abgeschlossenes Resort ist und der Weg bis Marrakesch ca. 30min dauert.

  Ontbijt was goed en op verzoek kan een lunch worden geregeld. Het resort is zeer mooi, met veel groen en allerlei paden. Appartement heeft een grote TV in de woonkamer en een TV in een slaapkamer, met zeer goede WiFi. De host is heel aardig.
  
  What could be improved: Er waren wat kleine technische issues (lekkende douchekop en kapotte buitenlamp), maar ik had dit pas achteraf gemeld. Host gaf aan dat dit snel zal worden opgelost.

  Krasne a klidne ubytovani kousek od centra. Rano nam prisli udelat super cerstvou a chutnou snidani primo na miste. Ocenujeme i to, ze mel apartman 2 koupelny.
