You know what caught me off guard about Atlas Views? It’s actually tucked inside this larger golf resort complex on the Ouarzazate road, which – if you know Marrakech at all – means you’re getting those incredible Atlas Mountain views without the chaos of the medina. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love the energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa, but sometimes you just want to breathe, you know?

The apartment itself (I stayed in one similar to 106) honestly feels more like a friend’s really nice place than a hotel room. There’s this lived-in quality that most five-star places miss completely – maybe it’s the way the light hits the terrace in the morning, or how you can actually hear the golf course maintenance crew starting their day around 6 AM (which is oddly soothing, not annoying). The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters if you’re like me and get tired of tagines after day three. You can grab fresh produce from the markets in Gueliz – it’s maybe a 15-minute drive – and actually cook something familiar. The whole setup works especially well if you’re staying more than a few nights, or traveling with family who need space to spread out.

What really sells this place though is the location’s sweet spot factor. You’re close enough to hit the main souks in about 20 minutes when traffic cooperates (which it rarely does between 4-7 PM, just so you know), but far enough out that you escape the constant motorbike symphony and persistent vendors. The golf resort setting means there’s actual parking – and I cannot stress enough how much that matters in Marrakech. Plus, being on the Ouarzazate route puts you perfectly positioned for those day trips to the Atlas villages or even Essaouira if you’re feeling ambitious. The resort staff actually knows the area well too, not just the tourist traps – they pointed me toward this tiny cooperative where women make argan oil, completely off the typical tour circuit.

The 9.4 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just… works. The AC doesn’t sound like a helicopter, the wifi actually reaches the bedroom, and housekeeping doesn’t rearrange all your stuff into weird origami shapes. Sometimes the simple stuff matters most when you’re trying to use a place as a real base, not just somewhere to crash between excursions.

The host was very friendly and responsive, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free.   We had very pleasant days in the apartment with a great terrace, a cozy living room and a quiet bedroom. However, you should plan to rent a car or ask for cabs so that you can easily get to the center of Marrakech. It is also best to plan some groceries before checking in, including water bottles, as there is nothing to buy in the complex. The complex itself is beautifully laid out, quiet and safe. Unfortunately we didn't use the pool, but the bathers who were already there in April looked very happy and the pool area looked very well maintained with lots of potential for relaxation. If we were to travel to Marrakech again, we would gladly stay here again.

  What could be improved: Way out of city you will have to get a taxi for everything. SADLY charge you city tax when you are nowhere near city 20 mins out from most attractions double in traffic. You will spend €40 day minimum on taxi if stay here. Also issues in evening as taxis are reluctant to go that far getting back. Recommended travel from host is 5-10€ more than normal taxi. Best to download app similar to uber from If you have car or not planning to go out much at all perfect. For anybody
  
  Host is very good housekeeper is excellent and any problems you have they listen and address as soon as.
  
  Please note you have 15 mins of hot water in shower so keep that in mind. So its fine

  Kitchen is fully equipped, apartments are clean and tidy. Host went out of his way to assist us during our stay. He helped us with taxis and printing out our boarding passes. The apartment has everything for a prefect stay. It’s 10-15 mins drive from the square. Very good value for money.
