The main bedroom gets this gorgeous morning light that filters through these heavy curtains (thank god for those curtains, by the way, because Marrakech sunshine doesn’t mess around). What really won me over was the kitchen situation. You know how most vacation rentals have those sad little kitchenettes where you can barely make toast? Not here. There’s actual counter space, a full-size fridge, and all the basics you need if you want to hit the local markets and cook some of those incredible vegetables you’ll find everywhere. The living area flows nicely too – it’s got this modern Moroccan vibe without being too themed, if that makes sense.

Now, about the location – Annakhil isn’t exactly the medina, so don’t expect to step outside and immediately be surrounded by snake charmers and spice vendors. But here’s the thing that most tourists don’t realize: this neighborhood gives you the best of both worlds. You’re far enough from the chaos to actually get some sleep (the 7.9 rating probably reflects this – it’s solid but not mind-blowing), but close enough that a 15-minute taxi ride gets you right into the heart of everything. The area has this lived-in feel where you’ll see actual Moroccan families going about their daily business, kids playing football in the streets, and local cafés where you can grab proper mint tea without paying tourist prices. There’s decent parking too, which matters more than you’d think if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the Atlas Mountains.

The check-in was surprisingly smooth – the host actually showed up on time and walked me through everything, including some local tips that weren’t in any guidebook. Small touches like that make a difference when you’re trying to figure out a new city. The WiFi works well enough for video calls (I tested it), and the hot water situation is reliable, which isn’t always a given in this price range. Is it perfect? Well, the air conditioning could be a bit stronger during summer months, and the neighborhood can get pretty quiet at night – almost too quiet if you’re used to city noise. But honestly, after a day of navigating the sensory overload that is Marrakech, coming back to this calm, well-appointed space felt like exactly what I needed.

  The staff were good, the property was nice other than that I didn't like anything else.
  
  What could be improved: To start off with the owner is very disrespectful, as he thought it was appropriate to send a plumber at 11pm to fix the cooker which to me is very unprofessional. Also, he doesn't know the actual price of the property and tried to make us pay more than what was needed. Which is something that I didn't like. Hopefully in the future changes can be made.

  Appartement très propre, bien équipé, mobilier et électroménager neuf, climatiseur dans chaque pièce
  Residence propre, bien surveillée et à proximité des commerces
  Piscine propre et réservée seulement aux résidents avec contrôle à l'entrée ( point qui manque dans d'autres endroits)
  Si je dois retourner sur Marrakech, ça sera vraiment au même endroit
