Beldicolors Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw Beldicolors on the Route d’Ourika, I wasn’t expecting much. I mean, you’re about 20 minutes outside Marrakech proper, heading toward the Atlas Mountains, and there are honestly a lot of mediocre places along this stretch. But this one? It’s actually something special, and I get why it’s pulling those 9.6 ratings.
The thing about staying out on the Ourika road is that you’re trading the chaos of the medina for something completely different – and Beldicolors really leans into that. The property has this gorgeous traditional Moroccan architecture (you know, the kind with actual craftsmanship, not the tourist-trap knockoff stuff), but what got me was how quiet it is. You can actually hear birds in the morning instead of scooters honking, which… well, if you’ve been in central Marrakech, you’ll appreciate that. The rooms are spacious – I’m talking proper space to spread out your stuff, not those cramped European-style boxes you sometimes get. And the staff? They actually seem to care about getting things right, which sounds basic but trust me, it’s not always a given.
What really works about this place is the location situation. Yeah, you’re not walking to Jemaa el-Fna, but you’re perfectly positioned for the Ourika Valley if you want to do some hiking or visit the Berber villages – and honestly, that’s where the real Morocco is anyway. The hotel can sort out day trips, and they know the good guides, not just whoever pays them commission. Plus, when you do want to hit Marrakech, it’s an easy drive or taxi ride, and you’re coming back to actual peace and quiet instead of trying to sleep through the medina noise (which, let’s be real, never fully stops). The pool area is where you’ll probably spend your downtime – it’s got that perfect setup where you can lounge with mountain views in the background, and the water’s actually warm enough to use, not just look at. I’d definitely come back here, especially if you’re doing Morocco for more than just a quick city break and want to experience both the cultural stuff and the natural beauty without feeling like you’re compromising on either.

I now understand why this place is rated so highly – a peaceful paradise. – Lauren from United Kingdom – 15 February 2025 (10/10)
Beautiful property with lovely decor on the interior as well as lovely greenery around the property. There’s only 5 rooms in the whole place so it is lovely and quiet and there’s plenty of space to do anything you wish. Comfy sun loungers and seating areas including a lovely rooftop terrace with sofas and other seating arrangements. The place was always clean and tidy. The staff couldn’t do enough for us – from the owners Marie and Henri who were so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed and also anything on request, then the lovely staff who did the cleaning and made such lovely food for us. Always smiling and made it a lovely atmosphere to stay in. Another highlight were their dogs, Leo and Yuki, who really brightened my visit, such loving friendly dogs. They also had cats on site who were lovely and a bit mischievous. The breakfast was lovely and there was so much of it. Other food on request. The pool was cold but that was just because of the time of year. It was such a quiet and peaceful location, 20 minute or maybe even less from the centre of marrakech. I was so glad we chose to stay here over a place in the city, it was the perfect peaceful paradise. The rooms were nice and simple and had everything we needed. Fresh linens and towels every day and always clean and tidy.
What could be improved: Nothing to be honest, it was an amazing stay. Only thing was that there was no privacy in the room as there were no doors to bathroom / shower but this wasn’t a major problem for us. Pool was cold but that is just because of the time of year so I cannot fault them for that.tranquility – Arfan from United Kingdom – 12 October 2024 (9/10)
The place is so tranquil it is unbelievable. nice hidden gem. Marie and her partner made us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. gave us tips where to go, taxis, what to eat and what to avoid. breakfast was lovely and fresh each morning. The place is just soooooo relaxing. very happy with our stay
