You can actually cook real meals if you want to take a break from tagines (though honestly, why would you?). The neighborhood’s pretty quiet at night, which was perfect after long days exploring the medina. You’ll hear the occasional scooter, but nothing like the chaos you get closer to Jemaa el-Fnaa.

Here’s what locals won’t tell you but matters: Rue Sourya puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to the good stuff but far enough to feel like you’re living in Marrakech rather than just visiting it. There’s a little café about two blocks down that serves incredible mint tea – the owner, Hassan, will remember your order after the second day. The Carrefour nearby actually has decent selection if you need supplies, and parking isn’t the nightmare it is in other parts of Gueliz. I found street parking most days, though weekends get trickier. The building itself is well-maintained, and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – none of that “meet me at the corner and follow me through three alleys” situation you sometimes get with vacation rentals. The rating of 8.5 feels about right; it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. For groups that want their own space, a real kitchen, and a base that feels more like temporary living than hotel hopping, this place works really well.

  I really liked that there were lots of windows and large glass doors to let in the outside day light. The apartment has nice little courtyard where you can sit outside. The living room has a large comfortable couch and is decorated with big paintings/photos that give ambiance to the room. Bedrooms are large and comfortable.
