BÔ Riad Boutique Hotel & Spa Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of riads in Marrakech, and BÔ Riad honestly surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes these boutique places in the medina can feel like they’re trying too hard? This one doesn’t. It’s tucked away on Rue El Moustachfa – and I mean really tucked away, you’ll probably walk past the entrance twice before you spot it – but that’s actually what makes it special. The whole street has this authentic medina vibe without being completely overrun by tourists dragging suitcases over the cobblestones at all hours.
The moment you step through that heavy wooden door, it’s like someone hit the volume button on the outside world. The central courtyard is gorgeous, sure, but what I really appreciated was how they’ve kept that traditional riad feeling while actually making everything work for modern travelers. The rooms are spacious (well, spacious for medina standards), and honestly, the air conditioning was a godsend during my July visit. I mean, you come to Morocco expecting heat, but you also want to sleep at night, right? The spa is small but properly done – not some afterthought spa that’s just a massage table in a basement room. They use local argan oil and actually know what they’re doing.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I booked: the staff genuinely knows the medina inside and out. Not just the tourist spots, but where to find the best tagine that won’t cost you a fortune, which hammam locals actually use, that sort of thing. They’ll arrange airport transfers without the usual markup drama, and – this is key – they can give you directions that actually make sense instead of just saying “follow the signs.” The breakfast is proper Moroccan with fresh bread and local honey, though if you’re expecting American-style coffee, well, manage your expectations. The location means you’re walking distance from Jemaa el-Fnaa, but you’re not dealing with the constant drum circles and motorbike noise that comes with being right in the thick of it. Fair warning though: like most places in the medina, getting luggage there can be an adventure – the car drops you off nearby and you walk the final stretch. But honestly, that’s part of the charm, and the staff will meet you to help with bags. At this price point and with that 8.7 rating, it’s doing something right – it feels like staying with someone who actually cares about the experience, not just processing bookings.

Reviews of BÔ Riad Boutique Hotel & Spa
A Magical Stay at Boriad – Beyond Expectations! – Anu from United Kingdom – 8 July 2025 (10/10)
I recently stayed at the Boriad Boutique Hotel & Spa, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely incredible – warm, genuinely friendly, and always eager to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality alone would make me return!
The riad itself is stunning – peaceful, stylish, and filled with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. It’s the perfect escape if you're looking to unwind. The rooftop terrace quickly became one of our favorite spots, especially in the evenings when there was live music every night. It created such a beautiful, laid-back atmosphere.
The pool was lovely – clean, calm, and perfect for cooling off during the day. Every corner of the place felt thoughtfully designed and tranquil. And for what you get, it’s exceptional value for money.
The location was also perfect – tucked away enough to feel calm and quiet, yet just a short walk from the souks, great restaurants, and cafés. It was also very convenient for excursion pick-ups, which made exploring outside the city super easy.
Honestly, the whole experience was a dream, but what truly made it special were the people. Every single staff member we met went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their kindness and attention to detail made all the difference.
Can’t recommend this place enough – I’m already planning my next trip back!
What could be improved: We tried the hammam and it was ok perhaps I wouldn't do it again there. However for convenience its good that it is in riad.I visited Marrakech in the summer, and while the weather was extremely hot, our hotel stay made all the difference. Staff were absolutely amazing, very helpful and arranged so much for us. It’s tempting to go with cheaper trips but they really do book you the best. The location is fabulous too. Constantly being cleaned and felt very welcome.

Staff were amazing
Abdel-Fateh, Hamza and Said really looked after us and were so friendly and helpful
What could be improved: Some rooms didn’t have a typical window as they were in the middle of the building. Also there wasn’t a curtain to reduce light for the above door window we did have.
