Location & Neighborhood

The location on Rue El Moustachfa puts you right in the heart of the action, which recent guests have been raving about. You’re actually within walking distance of Jemaa el-Fnaa square — maybe a ten-minute stroll through the winding alleys — but tucked away enough that you won’t hear the evening drummers from your room. What I love about this spot is how it gives you that authentic medina experience without the chaos. The nearby Bahia Palace is practically around the corner, and you know what? The hotel staff seems to know all the shortcuts through the labyrinthine streets.

The Rooms & Atmosphere

Each room at BÔ Riad feels like stepping into a Moroccan fairy tale, but not in an over-the-top way. The traditional architecture — think carved plaster, colorful tiles, and those gorgeous arched doorways — blends seamlessly with modern comforts. My room had this beautiful view of the central courtyard, and honestly, I spent way too much time just sitting by the window watching the light change throughout the day. The beds are seriously comfortable (which matters after a long day exploring), and the air conditioning actually works well, which isn’t always a given in these historic buildings.

The Spa Experience

The spa here deserves special mention because it’s not just a add-on — it’s clearly been thoughtfully designed. The hammam experience feels authentic rather than touristy, and the staff knows what they’re doing. I went for a traditional scrub and massage after a particularly dusty day in the souks, and it was exactly what I needed. The treatment rooms are carved right into the riad’s structure, so you get this sense of being cocooned in centuries-old walls while getting pampered with modern techniques.

Why Couples Love It

There’s something undeniably romantic about this place — maybe it’s the intimate scale (there aren’t dozens of other guests around) or the way the evening light filters through the courtyard. The rooftop terrace offers stunning views over the medina’s rooftops toward the Atlas Mountains, and it’s particularly magical at sunset. The staff seems to understand that couples want both adventure and retreat, so they’re great at recommending authentic experiences while ensuring you have a peaceful sanctuary to return to.   I recently stayed at the Boriad Boutique Hotel & Spa, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely incredible – warm, genuinely friendly, and always eager to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality alone would make me return!
  
  The riad itself is stunning – peaceful, stylish, and filled with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. It’s the perfect escape if you're looking to unwind. The rooftop terrace quickly became one of our favorite spots, especially in the evenings when there was live music every night. It created such a beautiful, laid-back atmosphere.
  
  The pool was lovely – clean, calm, and perfect for cooling off during the day. Every corner of the place felt thoughtfully designed and tranquil. And for what you get, it’s exceptional value for money.
  
  The location was also perfect – tucked away enough to feel calm and quiet, yet just a short walk from the souks, great restaurants, and cafés. It was also very convenient for excursion pick-ups, which made exploring outside the city super easy.
  
  Honestly, the whole experience was a dream, but what truly made it special were the people. Every single staff member we met went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their kindness and attention to detail made all the difference.
  
  Can’t recommend this place enough – I’m already planning my next trip back!
  
  What could be improved: We tried the hammam and it was ok perhaps I wouldn't do it again there. However for convenience its good that it is in riad.

  It was stunning, pictures were accurate, location couldn’t be more perfect. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Hamza and Taha in particular were super helpful and always were happy to help. We were a family of 16 and had no complaints.

  Staff were absolutely amazing, very helpful and arranged so much for us. It’s tempting to go with cheaper trips but they really do book you the best. The location is fabulous too. Constantly being cleaned and felt very welcome.
