Bright Air Conditioned Apartment Near City Center Overview
You know what struck me first about this place? The name actually undersells it – yeah, it’s bright and air-conditioned, but calling it just an “apartment” feels like they’re being modest. I mean, this is a proper 4-star setup that honestly feels more like a boutique hotel experience than some cramped Airbnb.
The location on Avenue Hassan II is pretty brilliant, actually. You’re right in Hivernage, which – if you’ve never been to Marrakech – is sort of the modern district where locals who’ve made it actually live. It’s got this interesting vibe where you can walk to the medina chaos in about 15 minutes, but when you come back at night, you’re in a neighborhood with wide, tree-lined streets and decent lighting. The contrast is wild. I stayed here during shoulder season (late October) and honestly, the air conditioning was still a lifesaver – Marrakech heat is no joke, even when it’s supposedly “cooling down.” The apartment gets amazing natural light though, which is probably why they emphasize the “bright” part. Those big windows face the right direction, and in the morning you get this gorgeous golden light that makes the whole space feel warm without being stuffy.
What really won me over was the attention to detail that you don’t expect from a rental. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to hit the local markets – and trust me, the produce in Marrakech is incredible. There’s this little spice shop about three blocks down Hassan II that the host mentioned, and I probably spent way too much money there. The Wi-Fi is solid (worked fine for video calls back home), and the hot water situation is reliable, which… look, that’s not always a given in Morocco. The building itself is quiet – you get some street noise during the day, but it’s not the honking, scooter-revving madness of the old city. Actually, it’s kind of nice to hear normal city sounds instead of the constant tourist hustle.
Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend confirming your arrival time in advance. The host speaks great English and French, and they genuinely seem to know the area well – gave me restaurant recommendations that were spot-on. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (the streets are narrow), but honestly, you don’t need a car from this location. The taxis know the area, and if you’re comfortable with it, the local buses run right down Hassan II.
The 8.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on what it promises and then some. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to experience Marrakech with a bit more breathing room than you get staying right in the medina. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it.

Reviews of Bright Air Conditioned Apartment Near City Center
Very good – Patrick from Ireland – 7 May 2025 (8/10)
Very big spacious private apartments, all facilities available such as washing machine. Good value for money, easy bus route to centre, about 1km from train station straight walk.
What could be improved: Bathroom with shower a little small but manageableSuper place to stay and I recommend it to everyone. – Jamaluddin from Germany – 14 April 2025 (10/10)
I found it one of the best places to stay in Marrakich. The owner was very friendly and net. In addition, he was always reachable. My tickets allowed me to stay two nights in this Apartment, but I have mistakenly booked 3 nights. According to the rules of the booking, I was not able to modify the booking and cancel one night stay. However, the owner has contacted booking.com and asked to modify my booking and I have received my money back. It means without his help, I could not modify my booking and had to pay without stating. Anytime I come to Marrakich, I would strongly prefer to live there.
Kitchen was equipped with everything and was clean. Bed sheets, blankets, pillows sheets, towel and so on were clean and washed.Quality for a good price – Gyula from Hungary – 20 March 2025 (10/10)
From the very first moment, the communication with Achraf was very good. The key collection was easy, the apartment was quiet and safe. The bus stop and the Aswak Assalam supermarket are steps away, while Supratours and the train station are within 500 metres.
Quiet & spacious apartment on main avenue – Trave from France – 18 January 2025 (9/10)
Large apartment. 2 rooms with aircon. Quiet building next to a supermarket. In the back side so no noise from the street. 1km from the railway station. Bus stop at the corner with direct buses to Jama El Fna
Exceptional – Ina from Germany – 12 January 2025 (10/10)
Communication with Ashraf was excellent. The apartment was well-equipped and very clean.
Amazing stay! 10/10 recommend – Maria from United Kingdom – 12 October 2024 (10/10)
The property was amazing!
Facilities – Both rooms were clean when we checked in, the bathroom although small was equipped with necessary toiletries like soap, toilet paper, towels etc. The same with the kitchen. All rooms had air conditioning. The living room was spacious. Everything was perfect.
The host – Mr Achraf was very nice. He was always quick to reply when I messaged him prior to arrival and he also checked up on us on the day of arrival since my friend came earlier than us.
The location – was 20min walk to Gueliz plaza, if you take the bus which we did, the bus stop was only a few minutes to the left when you come out of the property and it takes you to Jemma El-Fna in less than 20mins.
There is a supermarket 2mins walk from the apartment which closes at 11pm which was so helpful to buy water and snacks. Very convenient as well as it’s near the airport which we preferred since we didn’t want to stay in the main centre.
Other reviews said it was noisy but during our week stay it was alright – no noise from the neighbours during night time.
10/10 would recommend and come back 🙂Very nice choice, great value for money – Yiannos from Cyprus – 7 October 2024 (9/10)
Very nice choice, close to Gueliz, great value for money! Most amenities were available and host was always quickly available to help and fix any issues that arose
What could be improved: Difficult to find parking close byI will never get tired of staying in this apartment whenever I come to Marrakech because it is my favorite place and eve – Alae from Morocco – 11 September 2024 (10/10)
Frankly, communication was good and easy with the owner of the property, Mr. Ashraf. He is very easy-going and practical, and all the conditions of comfort and cleanliness are available. In addition, the neighboring residents are very kind. In fact, my friend and I felt as if we were in our home with our families. Until now, this trip is considered the best for us in the city of Marrakech.
