You know what? C2 Villa Alambra completely caught me off guard. I’ll be honest – when I first saw that address in Douar ouled rahou aghouatine, I thought we were heading into the middle of nowhere. But that’s actually the whole point, and it turns out to be this villa’s secret weapon. You’re about 30 minutes from Marrakech’s medina madness, tucked away in the Tahenaout area where the Atlas Mountains start making their presence known. The drive there takes you through some proper countryside – donkeys, olive groves, the works – and then suddenly you’re pulling up to this sleek villa that looks like it belongs in a design magazine.

The private pool is honestly the star of the show here. I mean, yes, it’s gorgeous and all that, but what really gets you is how quiet everything is. No splashing kids, no poolside music battles – just you, the water, and these incredible mountain views that change color throughout the day. The villa itself has this modern Moroccan thing going on without feeling like it’s trying too hard. Clean lines, local materials, and enough space that you’re not tripping over your travel companions every five minutes. The bedrooms are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong), and the kitchen is proper functional if you want to grab supplies from the local markets – though honestly, the staff can arrange a chef if you’d rather not deal with cooking on vacation.

What I really appreciated was how the whole setup works for different types of trips. We had a mix of people who wanted to just lounge by the pool with a book, and others who used it as a base for day trips to the Atlas villages or even Essaouira. The location gives you options – close enough to Marrakech when you want that energy, but far enough away that you can actually hear yourself think. The staff knows their stuff too, not just the usual tourist recommendations but actual local insights. They pointed us toward this family-run argan oil cooperative nearby that we never would have found otherwise. Fair warning though – if you’re the type who needs to be walking distance from restaurants and shops, this might feel a bit isolated. But honestly, that isolation is what makes it work. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s doing exactly what it promises, just really well.

  La villa est très jolie et nous avons passé une semaine très agréable. Les gardiens et Houssam sont sympathiques. Un grand merci à la gardienne qui nous a cuisiné un excellent couscous
  Les + la propreté, la jolie piscine avec escalier et avec assez de profondeur pour plonger, les espaces autour pour se poser dans le jardin, la terrasse, la literie est bien, et l'intérieur de la maison a beaucoup charme. Nous n'avons pas testé la clim mais elle est présente. L'espace pour garer deux à trois voitures. Petite table de ping pong qui fait le job !
  Les – sont la cuisine : pas assez d'ustensiles dans la cuisine, une seule petite poêle rayée au fond ; nous en avons demandé une autre que houssam nous a apportée. Les casseroles, plats, couscoussière, posés à même le sol dans le placard cuisine (pas d'étagère), rien pour ranger les assiettes qui restent dans l'égouttoir.
  Attention à part les serviettes et le papier toilettes, il n'y a pas de produits de base tel que sel, poivre, huile, épices, savon…)
  Le bilan est malgré tout très positif et nous avons aimé la proximité de Marrakech (25 mn en voiture du parking la koutoubia)

  Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux, L'endroit était magnifique, mais c'est surtout la gentillesse et la disponibilité du gardien et de sa femme qui ont rendu notre expérience inoubliable. Un grand merci à eux pour leur accueil chaleureux !

  La maison est très agréable avec tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un bon séjour en famille . La piscine et tout l espace extérieur était super.
  Le petit plus la terrasse en hauteur pour y déjeuner et profiter de la vue. Le couple d hôte était très serviable et toujours disponible.
  
  What could be improved: Il était prévu un accès pour 2 personnes au hammam mais il n était pas fonctionnel au moment de notre séjour, dommage surtout que nous n’avons pas été informé.

  Hote accueillant, Jolie maison individuelle, propre, sans vis-à-vis, de belles chambres avec très bonne literie, salon cosy, belle piscine, bel espace extérieur et roftop cool. Au top pour chiller. Nous regrettons de ne pas avoir pris le petit déjeuner…
  
  What could be improved: Maison pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 7 personnes mais manque d'ustensiles pour cuisiner (1 seule casserole et 1 seule petite poêle) , pas de table pour manger assis ensemble , 1 dale de la piscine cassée et recollée mais n'a pas tenue lorsqu'un enfant s'y est accroché , la "table de ping-pong " ne porte que le nom!
