You know what struck me first about Chez Dar Safaa? It’s tucked right on Boulevard Abdelkrim Al Khattabi, which honestly sounds intimidating if you’re not familiar with Marrakech, but it’s actually one of those addresses that makes perfect sense once you’re there. I mean, you’re close enough to the medina chaos that you can walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa in about fifteen minutes, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with constant scooter honking at 6 AM. The building itself has that classic Moroccan riad feel – you walk through what looks like a pretty modest entrance and then boom, you’re in this gorgeous courtyard that makes you forget you’re in the middle of a bustling city.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid four-star place, but there are these little touches that actually matter. The air conditioning works properly (trust me, this isn’t always a given in Marrakech), and the beds are legitimately comfortable – not just “decent for Morocco” comfortable. I was there during Ramadan actually, and the staff was incredibly thoughtful about timing for everything, from housekeeping to breakfast service. The rooftop terrace is honestly where you’ll want to spend your evenings though. You get these partial views of the Atlas Mountains on clear days, and the sunset lighting on the city is something else. It’s not the highest viewpoint in the area, but it’s got this intimate vibe that beats the crowded terraces at some of the fancier places.

What really sets this place apart – and maybe why it’s got that 8.9 rating – is how the staff actually knows the city. When I asked about getting to the Majorelle Gardens, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a tourist map. He walked me outside and pointed out exactly which petit taxi drivers to avoid (the ones who’ll “forget” to turn on the meter) and which café nearby makes the best mint tea if I needed a break from sightseeing. The breakfast spread isn’t huge, but they do these fresh msemen pancakes that are honestly better than what you’ll find at most restaurants. Parking can be a bit tricky – there’s not a dedicated lot, but they’ve got arrangements with a nearby garage that’s actually more convenient than trying to navigate the narrow streets yourself. The whole experience feels like staying with locals who happen to run a really well-organized hotel rather than some corporate chain trying to approximate Moroccan hospitality.

  Coup de coeur pour la propriétaire d une disponibilité sans faille.l accueil de la propriétaire et du gardien exceptionnel.l emplacement vous facilitera la vie. Maison mignardise au pied de l appartement est au top pour déjeuner dîner et autre… Restaurations, alimentations en bas de l immeuble ainsi que magasin de vêtements à 5min en voiture et jamaa el fna à 15min voiture ou taxi.
  Je vous le recommande fortement et j'y reviendrais .
