Well, this place actually delivers on that promise – and honestly, it caught me off guard. Coin Lumineux sits in the Prestigia Golf City development, which sounds super fancy but is really just this sprawling residential complex about 20 minutes from the medina chaos. The name’s a mouthful (I still can’t pronounce it properly), but locals just call it “the Prestigia place” when giving directions.

The apartment itself is pretty solid for what you’re paying – I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind, but the pool area is where this place really shines. You’ve got these unobstructed views of the Atlas Mountains that are absolutely stunning, especially around sunset when the light hits those peaks just right. The pool’s shared with the complex, but it never felt crowded when I was there in March – though I imagine summer might be a different story. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings. You’re far enough from Boulevard Mohammed VI that you don’t get the constant traffic noise, but close enough that getting an Uber or taxi isn’t a nightmare. The kitchen’s well-equipped too, which is clutch because eating out every meal in Marrakech can get expensive fast (and sometimes your stomach needs a break from all that tagine, you know?).

Here’s the thing though – you definitely need to factor in transportation costs and time. The golf course is right there if that’s your thing, but getting to Jemaa el-Fnaa or the souks is going to be a 15-20 minute ride depending on traffic. That said, there’s something nice about having this peaceful base to return to after a day of navigating the medina madness. The Wi-Fi actually works well, parking’s not an issue, and the whole setup feels more like staying in a friend’s apartment than a hotel. The 7.7 rating seems about right – it’s not perfect, but it does exactly what it promises without any major surprises. If you’re the type who values space, views, and a bit of distance from the tourist clusters, this spot hits that sweet spot between authentic local living and tourist convenience.
