You know what? I almost walked past this place twice before I figured out it was the Résidence Mayar building – it’s tucked away in this really lovely corner of Hivernage where the tourist chaos sort of melts away. The Cosy 1 BD Appart Centre Gueliz is exactly what it sounds like: a proper one-bedroom apartment that honestly feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel. The building itself has that modern Moroccan vibe without being too fancy about it, and I actually appreciated that the lobby wasn’t trying to scream “luxury” at me.

The apartment itself is genuinely cozy (not just marketing speak), with this great little balcony that looks out toward the Atlas Mountains if you crane your neck just right. The kitchen is small but functional – I mean, you can actually cook here, which is rare for hotel-style places. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with it all night, and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works properly. What really sold me on the place was the location though – you’re literally a ten-minute walk from Avenue Mohammed VI where all the good restaurants are, but far enough from the main drag that you don’t get the constant honking and street noise that can drive you crazy in central Gueliz. The neighborhood has this residential feel where you’ll see locals walking their kids to school in the morning, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters.

The staff were pretty helpful without being overly attentive – they gave me the key card, explained the WiFi situation (which works well, by the way), and left me alone after that. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re renting a car, but there’s usually street parking within a block or two, and honestly, you don’t really need a car from this spot anyway. The building gets quiet at night, which I loved, though you might hear the call to prayer from a nearby mosque in the early morning if you’re a light sleeper – but that’s just Marrakech for you. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer trip where I wanted to feel settled rather than just passing through. It’s not going to blow your mind with fancy amenities, but it’s clean, comfortable, and gives you that local living experience without sacrificing convenience.

  Overall experience is very good & relaxing Appt, excellent lighting, fragrance, good Salon with kitchen, bedroom & both lead to cute balcony, with amenities nearby such as Restaurants,snacks, small shops with carrefour about 10 minutes walk near to the train station or same distance (opposite direction) at Menara mall..also the Appt is next door to CTM bus station & taxis in abundunce opposite the house.
  The location is easy to find & contact with the host Yacine positive throughout who sent the door entrance code via Whatsapp & thats it really as there is concierge at the entrance..thanks to the hosts for lovely stay
