You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Complexe Atlassi – honestly, apartment rentals in Marrakech can be hit or miss, and the name “Cosy appartement” made me think it might be one of those overly cute places that tries too hard. But apartment D1 actually surprised me in the best way possible.

The location on Avenue 11 Janvier is pretty smart if you ask me. It’s far enough from the medina chaos that you can actually sleep at night (trust me, you’ll appreciate this after a day of navigating the souks), but close enough that a petit taxi ride won’t break the bank. The complex itself feels secure – there’s a proper gate and everything, which honestly gave me peace of mind as a solo traveler. What I really loved was how the apartment had this lived-in comfort without feeling worn down. The air conditioning actually works well, which… let’s just say isn’t always a given in Marrakech apartments. I mean, when it’s 40 degrees outside, you need that thing humming properly.

The kitchen setup is where this place really shines – and I’m saying this as someone who’s stayed in probably a dozen Marrakech rentals. You can actually cook a proper meal here, not just heat up instant noodles. There’s decent counter space, the fridge keeps things genuinely cold, and they’ve got real dishes, not those flimsy plastic things you sometimes get. The bedding feels fresh and the shower has good water pressure (honestly, these details matter so much more than fancy lobby marble). What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night – you’re still in the city, so there’s the occasional call to prayer and some street sounds, but it’s not the constant horn-honking symphony you get closer to Jemaa el-Fnaa. The terrace space is lovely for morning coffee too, especially in winter when the air is crisp and clear.

I’ll be straight with you though – if you’re the type who wants to stumble back to your room after a late night in the medina, you might find the location a bit far out. But if you’re looking for a genuine home base where you can decompress, cook a meal, and feel like you’re living in Marrakech rather than just passing through, this place hits that sweet spot. The host was responsive when I had questions about the wifi (which works fine, by the way), and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no standing around for an hour with your luggage. It’s got that 4-star comfort level without the 4-star attitude, if that makes sense. For the price point and the genuine homey feeling, I’d definitely book it again.

  Nice, big flat, planty of space, well equiped with everything you need. The location is perfect, only some minutes walking to the bazaar, or the Majorell gardens, you have grocery stores, cafes, restaurants around the corner. With children, it was perfect.

  Really large apartament situated in a building that has elevator. The apartament had everything we needed during our stay and was clean. The check-in and check-out process went smooth and we had no problems during our stay. Cheap apartament for what it offers.

  Fantastic
  We where very comfortable and able to cook and wash clothes. It’s just outside the old city gates which is perfect to escape the old city Kaos. Mr Chafik was so helpful.Car park was secure and owner easily contactable via what’s app.

  Excellent location.
  A large and well-equipped apartment.
  I liked that there is a washing machine in the apartment and the clothes can be hung on the roof of the building.
  The hostess, Madam Saadia was very kind, nice and happy to help with any problem.
  I will be happy to visit again.
