Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of riads and hotels around Marrakech, and this little studio on Route de Safi honestly surprised me. You know what I mean when I say most places either try too hard to be “authentic” or just feel like generic hotel rooms? This one actually gets the balance right.

The location is pretty smart, actually – Route de Safi puts you close enough to the medina that you can walk there in about fifteen minutes (though honestly, you’ll probably want to grab a petit taxi at night), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of motorbikes and vendors that never stops in the old city. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love the energy of the medina, but sometimes you just want to sleep without hearing someone’s scooter at 2 AM. The studio itself is compact but thoughtfully laid out – whoever designed this place actually understands how travelers live. There’s proper counter space in the kitchenette (rare in Morocco, trust me), decent water pressure in the shower, and the bed is actually comfortable, not just decorative. The air conditioning works well, which you’ll definitely appreciate if you’re visiting between May and September.

What really won me over was the attention to details that matter. The WiFi is solid throughout – I was able to work from the little seating area without issues. The neighborhood has that authentic Marrakech feel without being touristy; there’s a great local café around the corner where you can get fresh bread and mint tea for practically nothing, and the people running the small shops nearby are genuinely friendly rather than just sizing you up as a tourist. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (the streets are narrow and there’s not always a clear spot), but most people won’t have a car anyway. The host was responsive when I had questions about getting around – they actually know the area well instead of just sending generic directions. Honestly, the 8.5 rating makes sense; it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it delivers on what it promises. If you want to experience Marrakech without staying in a cookie-cutter hotel or dealing with the intensity of sleeping right in the medina, this studio hits that sweet spot. Just pack light – it’s cozy for a reason.

A host that profiles is guest prior to arrival but checking their social media – then makes judgements based on his ignorance and bigoted and racist view – he sent people (under cover police to spy on me and follow me in the street – he had hidden cctv not advertised in the details – the facilities are not as advertised and the stand of the facilities is dreadful -holes in the mosquito nets, a shower that falls on your head as it not fixed securely , a shower tray that has you standing in dirty water , a broke n toilet , half used toiletries, empty soap and dishwashing liquid bottles – claims being your get toiletries , a broken chair – show on booking as table and chair in front room – table in bedroom – chair broken, a lock on the door that doesn't lock – he told me not to close or lock my door – he has malicious intentions with covert cctv and told not to lock my door. – NO DUVET COVER – this is disgusting and totally unhygienic, no ironing board or drying rack as advertised – its a total con – the accommodation was dirty and facilities and provisions where not as advertised or show on the pictures online – the toilet broke and no one came to fix it – so many thinks not as shown or given in the description.

  La casa es cómoda, con un buen salón y se puede descansar muy bien. La cama extra grande. También la atención del dueño, fue agradable y atento.
