Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Marrakech, and this apartment in Hivernage honestly surprised me. The name’s a bit of a mouthful – Cozy&Elegant apartment/pool/city center/Gueliz – but it actually delivers on both parts. When you first walk into Residence Nour5, you get that “oh, this is nice” feeling that doesn’t happen everywhere. The building itself feels solid and well-maintained, which isn’t always a given in this part of town.

What really works here is the location – I mean, Hivernage is sort of the sweet spot between being close to everything but not right in the chaos of the medina. You’re maybe a 10-minute walk from Avenue Mohammed V, where all the good cafés and shops are, but you can actually sleep at night without hearing scooters honking until 2 AM. The pool area is genuinely relaxing too, not just one of those tiny plunge pools that some places try to pass off as amenities. I spent a good chunk of my mornings there with coffee, watching the city wake up – there’s something about the light in Marrakech that hits different from a pool deck.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there, you know? Not that sterile hotel room vibe where everything’s beige and generic. The kitchen’s properly equipped if you want to grab stuff from the local markets (and honestly, the tomatoes here are incredible). Check-in was smooth – the host met me personally, which I always appreciate over fumbling with lockboxes. Parking’s available too, which is huge if you’re planning to explore the Atlas Mountains or drive down to Essaouira for a day trip. The Wi-Fi actually works reliably, which… well, anyone who’s tried to work remotely from Morocco knows that’s not always guaranteed. Only tiny complaint is that the shower pressure could be stronger, but that’s pretty standard for this area. With an 8.6 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get why people keep coming back. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re getting a real taste of how locals live, but with the comfort level tourists need.

  A beautiful and clean apartment in a quiet place close to many tourist places that can be visited in Marrakech. It is also close to restaurants and cafes. The owner of the apartment is a polite lady. I suggest this apartment for those who want to travel to Marrakech.

  The apartment is really nice and cozy.
  
  What could be improved: Communication wasnt great, no one at the apartment spoke English, struggled to get in – took us 40-50 minutes to check in because of the language barrier.
  Upon arrival the cleaning lady, who let us in was sat waiting in the apartment, she would not leave again we didnt know what she wanted because of the language barrier. Host had to message us letting us know it was because she had to collect the “City tax”, which was supposed to be taken at check out.
  
  It can also be quite noisy due to the construction work going on outside the building, which didnt give us a great view.
  
  Along with this, a light had went out in the main bathroom which no one came to sort out. Had to shower in the dark.
  
  Water in the pool is abnormally freezing.
