So I stumbled across this place called “Cute And Modern Appart In Prestigia” last time I was in Marrakech, and honestly, the name undersells it completely. It’s tucked away in the Prestigia development – you know, that newer residential area that’s actually become pretty popular with travelers who want something different from the typical riad experience in the medina.

What struck me first was how quiet it is compared to the chaos of central Marrakech. I mean, don’t get me wrong, you’re still very much in Morocco – there’s the call to prayer echoing from nearby mosques and the occasional motorbike buzzing by – but it’s this perfect middle ground between authentic local life and having your own peaceful space. The apartment itself is surprisingly well thought out for what I’d expected from the slightly awkward name. The modern touches actually work here – clean lines, decent WiFi (which, let’s be honest, can be hit or miss in Morocco), and a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to grab some ingredients from the local market and cook something up. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that “slept on a rock” feeling you sometimes get in budget places.

Here’s what I really appreciated though – the location gives you easy access to both worlds. You can walk to some excellent local spots that most tourists never see (there’s this incredible little café about ten minutes away where the mint tea is absolutely perfect), but you’re also close enough to hop in a taxi and be in Jemaa el-Fnaa in maybe fifteen minutes, depending on traffic. Parking was straightforward too, which is kind of a miracle in Marrakech if you’re renting a car. The check-in was smooth – the host actually showed up on time and walked me through everything, including how to work the AC properly (crucial during those scorching summer months). The whole Prestigia area has this interesting vibe where you’ll see Moroccan families going about their daily routines alongside international visitors, so it feels authentic without being overwhelming. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer trip where I wanted to settle in somewhere that felt more like a temporary home base rather than just a place to crash between sightseeing marathons.

  Eigenlijk niets, accommodatie ligt naast het vliegveld, makkelijk bereikbaar maar dat is ook het enige
  
  What could be improved: Er zijn te veel mieren rondom de accommodatie en binnen het appartement, zware tegenvaller.
  Wat ons opviel is dat katten buiten niet goed behandeld worden, kregen een trap na door kinderen, er werd totaal niet ingegrepen door omstanders of niets van gezegd, wij zeiden wel van, hey doe normaal en laat de kat met rust,
  blijkbaar is het normaal daar om dieren zo te behandelen, ook een zware tegenvaller.
  Als laatste, het zwembad is om 20:00 gesloten, beetje te vroeg als het boven 40 a 45 graden is

  Appartement spacieux dans l'ensemble pour un couple et deux enfants avec possibilité d'ajuster le canapé pour accueillir deux autres personnes.
  
  What could be improved: Le prix laissait espérer un meilleur standing, mais l'état de l'appartement et de l'équipement n'était pas aux normes attendues et suggérées par les photos : ménage superficiel, odeur désagréable dès l’entrée, équipements vetustes, four sale, canapé taché et troué. Les serviettes de plage indiquées n’étaient pas disponibles. De plus, un gestionnaire nous a attendus tard le soir, jusqu’à 00h30, pour encaisser la taxe de séjour par crainte qu’elle ne soit pas payée.
