Dellarosa Boutique Hotel and Spa Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Dellarosa? I was expecting another generic riad knockoff when I walked up to that entrance on Avenue Moulay Hassan, but this place actually gets the boutique hotel thing right. The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in Gueliz – you’re literally a five-minute walk from the main shopping drag, but far enough from the chaos that you can actually sleep at night without earplugs.
The spa is where this place really shines, and I mean that. Most hotel spas feel like afterthoughts, but they’ve clearly put some thought into this one. The hammam experience was legit – none of that watered-down tourist version you get at some places. The staff knows their stuff, and they use proper argan oil (not the fake stuff they sell in the souks). I spent way too much time there, honestly. The rooms are solid too, though don’t expect massive spaces – this is boutique, after all. But the beds are comfortable, AC works like a dream (crucial in summer), and the bathrooms are surprisingly well-appointed. I appreciated the little touches like decent lighting for getting ready and actual water pressure in the shower.
Here’s the thing about staying in Gueliz versus the medina – you’re trading some of that exotic Morocco atmosphere for actual convenience, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. From Dellarosa, you can walk to Carré Eden for groceries, grab coffee at the decent cafés nearby, or catch a taxi to Jemaa el-Fnaa in about ten minutes when you’re ready for the full Marrakech experience. The neighborhood feels safe to wander around at night, which isn’t something I’d say about everywhere in the city. Parking’s not a nightmare either if you’re renting a car – there’s street parking that’s actually manageable, unlike in the medina where you’d lose your mind trying to navigate those narrow alleys. The 8.3 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. The service is genuinely warm without being overly fussy, check-in was smooth, and they were helpful with restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. If you’re looking for Instagram-perfect riad drama, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a comfortable base that lets you experience Marrakech without feeling like you’re roughing it, Dellarosa hits that sweet spot.

Fantastic – Suzanne from Australia – 1 June 2025 (9/10)
Gorgeous place to stay and the staff we super helpful
What could be improved: It’s a fantastic place to stayLovely, clean, perfect for solo travellers – Nadia from United Kingdom – 4 May 2025 (7/10)
Pretty and clean and well decorated. Also smells amazing, greeted with tea and a big smile
What could be improved: No kettle in room, sauna room was barely hot, they took forever to bring an iron to my room. Had to call 5 times.Convenient, small personable hotel with some authentic stylish decor. – Alwyn from United Kingdom – 21 March 2025 (7/10)
The welcome and friendliness of staff. Leila couldn't have been more helpful and made our room cgange very easy for us. Hotels is in a good area, and you can walk to the old town in about 15-20 mins. Excellent breakfast cafe next door.
What could be improved: All the ratings given are for the room we spent most of our stay in. The 1st room offered though really large, was poor, semi basement, dark and bathroom in need of a refit. The wines at the Dellarisa were a bit of a shock (can only drink alcohol in Hotels during Ramadan) they're well over priced. Apprix £24 for 2 small glasses. And restaurant pricy too.Very good – Nithin from United Kingdom – 14 March 2025 (8/10)
We had an excellent welcome at the hotel by reception. They were happy to accommodate our early check-in and even got us a free upgrade to a suite . All staff were friendly and took care of all our needs very professionally . Iliass, who is the guest relationship manager, was always available to address any queries we had in the hotel or around Marrakech. He has done a fantastic job. I recommend this hotel to couples or families visiting Marrakech.
What could be improved: NothingWould recommend, amazing staff, clean hotel – Sharuja from United Kingdom – 4 February 2025 (9/10)
The staff were amazing, we went for my cousins birthday, they greeted us before we entered and provided us a free upgrade. There’s so much within the hotel.
What could be improved: The shower water did smell a little funny, but otherwise the hotel and spa was amazingExcellent service, all the staff went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience – Shelly from United Kingdom – 3 January 2025 (8/10)
The hotel is situated on a good location to access the center of Marrakesh, approx 20-30 minutes walk, with convenience shop and ATM closer, and some excellent places to eat nearby.
What could be improved: Some of the facilities (pool and rooftop bar) were not open/available at the time of our stay (over new year) this information wasn’t conveyed before our stay.Good – Raja from United Arab Emirates – 26 August 2024 (7/10)
It’s near for everything
What could be improved: The flat wasn’t look like photos exactly..little old was no water or coffee machine or tea ..at night I need water I can’t find in hotel because kitchen close the staff try to help me in this but supermarket was closed alsoSuperb – Heather from United Kingdom – 17 August 2024 (9/10)
Lovely hotel and staff were friendly
What could be improved: Bathroom was dated, and the shower wasn't great.Lovely hotel and great facilities. Close enough to locations and airport. Lovely and helpful staff – Hani from United Kingdom – 19 July 2024 (9/10)
Lovely swimming area and hotel is very nice. The decor in the reception area and around the hotel was very nice, I wish this was more reflected in the rooms.
What could be improved: The bathroom in the suite was very dated and it was ants season but in the end it didn’t bother me but I made sure not to leave any of my makeup / bags open near the sink. I think there should be some sort of screen in the bathtub as all the water falls on the floor. We had towels and bathrobes they were fresh and clean but there was a few stains on them probably from before.Thank you for your hospitality ☺️ – Mariem from United Kingdom – 14 July 2024 (8/10)
Its in the center , the staffs were so nice and helpful
What could be improved: The breakfast wasn’t varied
