Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Marrakech, but this apartment on Avenue Yacoub El Mansour really surprised me. You know what hit me first? The fact that you’re literally in the thick of everything but somehow the building itself feels like this quiet oasis once you’re inside. The Res Las Torres Majorelle complex – yeah, it’s one of those newer developments that actually got the balance right between modern living and not feeling completely disconnected from the city’s pulse.

The apartment itself is honestly what deluxe should mean but rarely does. I mean, the space is generous without being wasteful, and whoever designed it actually thought about how people live day-to-day. The kitchen isn’t just for show (thank god), and the living area has this natural light that makes you want to actually hang out there instead of just crashing. What really got me was the attention to small stuff – proper hangers in the closet, enough outlets where you need them, a shower that doesn’t require engineering skills to operate. The kind of details that tell you someone who travels stayed here first and fixed all the annoying bits.

But here’s the thing about this location that booking sites never really capture – you’re positioned perfectly for both versions of Marrakech. Walk one direction and you’re hitting the souks and all that beautiful chaos of the medina, but walk the other way and you’ve got Gueliz with its cafés and that more contemporary Moroccan vibe. I actually found myself using both regularly, grabbing morning coffee from the modern spots then wandering into the old city for lunch and shopping. The 9.5 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything works – from the building entry (proper security but not intimidating) to the fact that your phone GPS actually finds the place without sending you on some wild goose chase through unmarked alleys like half the riads do. Honestly, if you’re the type who wants to experience Marrakech without constantly negotiating basic comfort, or if you’re traveling with someone who needs their space and quiet time to recharge between adventures, this hits that sweet spot. It’s not trying to be a traditional riad experience, and that’s exactly why it works so well.

  The location was very nice, and most of the highlights are just a 15-minute walk away. That will save you a lot of money on taxis—not that it’s very expensive, but if you’re not from Morocco, they can increase the taxi fare. If you want to eat something, just walk toward the Majorelle Garden and keep walking to the traffic light—you’ll find a nice place, Frescom, to eat good and cheap food. Look below for pictures.
