DWO Marrakech Ennakhil Overview
You know what struck me first about DWO Marrakech Ennakhil? The location actually makes perfect sense once you’re there, even though it sounds sort of random on paper. It’s about five kilometers out on the Casablanca road – which honestly is exactly where you want to be if you’re planning to explore beyond the medina madness but still want easy access to everything. The taxi drivers all know the spot, and there’s something refreshing about pulling up to a place that feels like it has room to breathe.
The hotel itself has that polished five-star look you’d expect, but here’s the thing – it doesn’t feel stuffy or overly formal like some of the big international chains closer to the city center. I mean, it’s definitely upscale (the lobby alone will tell you that), but the staff actually seems to enjoy working there, which makes a huge difference in how your stay feels. The rooms are spacious – and I’m talking genuinely spacious, not just “spacious for Morocco” spacious. The AC works properly too, which you’ll appreciate during those brutal summer afternoons when even the locals are hiding indoors.
What really sets this place apart is how it balances the traditional Moroccan elements without going overboard with the whole “authentic experience” thing that can feel forced at some hotels. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend your downtime – it’s well-designed and gets good sun most of the day, plus it’s quiet enough that you can actually relax without feeling like you’re at a resort in Cancun. The restaurant serves decent food, though honestly, you’re in Marrakech, so you should be eating out in the medina at least a few times. That said, their breakfast spread is solid, and room service doesn’t take forever like it does at some places.
The 7-star rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it won’t disappoint either. I’d say the main downsides are pretty minor: the wifi can be spotty in some rooms (though the lobby connection is fine), and if you’re someone who wants to walk everywhere, you’ll definitely need taxis or the hotel shuttle to get into the heart of things. But that location I mentioned earlier? It actually means you’re perfectly positioned for day trips to the Atlas Mountains or even Essaouira, and the parking situation is stress-free, which anyone who’s driven in Marrakech will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

Lovely location and not too pricy
What could be improved: Lack of staff resulted in having to chase things like coffee and spoons for the room. only one person serving at the bar, not enough towels for the pool beds. Amenities are very basic but the staff did try to do their bestPas mal – Younes from Morocco – 10 September 2024 (7/10)

What could be improved: Restaurant close earlyVery nice hotel and friendly staff. Alot of value for your money, but the food could be better. – Åsmund from Norway – 10 May 2024 (8/10)
Helpful and polite staff, especially in the reception and the bellhop
What could be improved: Ordered lunch twice. The club sandwich really needs some refining. The pizza actually tasted quite nice, but the meat on top was raw, so we had the staff grill the pizza until done.Lovelyyyyyyy – Hebaq from United Kingdom – 3 May 2024 (8/10)

Very good – Rashid from United Kingdom – 19 May 2023 (8/10)
Nice, clean, well laid out. All rooms have a pool view which is really good.
What could be improved: Very far from shops and other leisure activities. Spa facilities should have been part of the package – spa facilities could be better. The Hotel is excellent, some of the personnel needs training – Tiago from Portugal – 31 March 2023 (8/10)
The Rececpion person – Isham – very thoughtfull, welcoming and helpful. Excellent recommendation for dinner in town.
The Swimming Pool is absolutely fantastic
The room was big and well equipped
Bed was great
What could be improved: The 1st day person that walked us to our room, but gave up half way and pointed us to the rest of the way, all this without offering to carry the luggage
The 1st breakfast was very soon, right after opening, and there wasn't too many buffet options. 2nd breakfast was better
The restaurant manager (?) that informed wrongly about dinner price on the phone, corrected to double value when we were already served, and did care to admit he had informed a lower price
Only one local beer option
