You’re right in the heart of the new city, which means you can grab a proper coffee in the morning – not the super sweet tourist stuff – and you’re close enough to Avenue Mohammed V that you can walk to decent restaurants without dealing with the organized chaos of the medina every single night. Don’t get me wrong, I love the old city, but sometimes you just want to eat dinner without negotiating with every vendor between your hotel and the restaurant. The 8.3 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s not perfect (the WiFi can be spotty in some rooms, and check-in took longer than expected), but the staff actually remembers your name and your coffee order, which you don’t always get at four-star places.

What really works here is how they’ve managed to feel modern without completely ignoring where you are. The rooms have this clean, contemporary vibe – good air conditioning, which matters more than you’d think in Marrakech – but they haven’t gone overboard trying to recreate some fantasy version of Moroccan design. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have proper water pressure. You’ll hear the call to prayer from nearby mosques, which some people love and others… well, just pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The rooftop area is where you’ll probably end up most evenings; you can see the Atlas Mountains on clear days, and it’s one of those spots where you end up talking to other travelers without it feeling forced. Parking is available, which is honestly a relief if you’re crazy enough to drive in Marrakech, and they can help arrange day trips to the mountains or desert without the hard sell you get elsewhere. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere locals might actually recommend to their friends visiting from out of town, rather than just another tourist hotel that happens to be in Morocco.
