Es Saadi Marrakech Resort – Palace Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of fancy places in Marrakech, but Es Saadi is honestly in a league of its own. The moment you pull up to this place on Rue Ibrahim El Mazini – and trust me, your taxi driver will know exactly where you’re going – you realize this isn’t just another hotel trying to play palace. This is actually palatial, with those towering palm trees and that unmistakable Art Deco vibe that somehow feels both vintage Hollywood and authentically Moroccan at the same time.
What really gets me about Es Saadi is how it manages to feel like an oasis without being completely cut off from the real Marrakech. You’re right in Hivernage, which means you can walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa if you want that full medina chaos, but when you need to retreat (and trust me, you will), you’ve got these incredible gardens to disappear into. The pools – plural, because there are several – are where you’ll probably spend way more time than you planned. I mean, the main one is basically a lagoon with actual flamingos wandering around. Flamingos! It sounds ridiculous until you’re floating there at sunset thinking this might be the most surreal hotel experience you’ve ever had.
The rooms are… well, they’re massive. Like, genuinely massive in a way that makes you wonder if Moroccan architects just decided square footage rules don’t apply here. Everything feels substantial – the marble bathrooms, the carved wood details, even the terraces that look out over either the Atlas Mountains or those famous gardens. And you know what? The service actually lives up to the setting. Check-in was smooth (no standing around while they “prepare your room”), the concierge team knows their stuff about everything from restaurant reservations to day trips, and housekeeping somehow manages to be thorough without being intrusive. The spa is worth mentioning too – it’s built into what feels like an underground palace, all dim lighting and traditional hammam treatments that’ll leave you feeling like you melted and reformed into a better version of yourself. Honestly, if you’re the type who usually skips hotel spas, don’t skip this one.

What could be improved: The good at Othello was not up to standardThe Ksar experience – Cristina from Romania – 4 June 2025 (10/10)
Wonderful place to stay – chose it as it was close to Medina while offering an oasis of calm in a lush environment. And it didn’t disappoint! We chose a Ksar to experience the closest authentic vibes and it was amazing. The few photos on Booking don’t come close to reality: large spaces, well maintained, spotless, fresh flowers, spacious terraces, comfy beds, everything was close to perfection. The free mini bar was great, and always promptly refilled. The staff was amazing, kind & prompt with everything we could ask for. The breakfast was diverse & the msemen is ablosutely wow, best we had in Marrakech. The pool & spa are also top noch. And the sound of he birds is the perfect relaxing background!
What could be improved: Things that can be improved:
The Ksars are promoted as being soundproof. The one we had was not – you can hear every move from the bedrooms, from cars passing to people talking & nature sounds. At first we had the impression we didn’t close the window.
Pool service is very slow, if you want something fast, best go to the pool bar.Ksar was amazing! – Courtney from Switzerland – 26 May 2025 (10/10)
The service was amazing and the property is lovely. Breakfast was amazing!
What could be improved: NothingSuperb – Patrick from United Kingdom – 18 May 2025 (9/10)
Beautiful hotel in a great location, helpful and friendly staff
What could be improved: A small matter for improvement is the [free] wi-fi – which works reliably in the hotel itself but does not [i.e. keeps dropping out or is often unavailable] in the area around the pool.Wonderful stay and can’t wait to return! – Adwoa from United Kingdom – 14 May 2025 (10/10)
On arrival we were unexpectedly given a free room upgrade and an early check in, thank you so much Ayab!
Breakfast was amazing…beautiful grounds…spacious rooms…All staff were always super friendly…
We will miss Noman (reception) …his smile, friendly chats as well as offering delicious Moroccan tea and snacks.
Hayat in housekeeping ensured we had everything needed for a comfortable nights sleep.
We will definitely return 😀
What could be improved: NothingSolid all-around hotel in Marrakesh – Dimitrios from Switzerland – 27 April 2025 (8/10)
Good location with spacious shared area. Rooms were spacious and nicely equipped. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Quality of food at breakfast and pool side
What could be improved: Spa experience was poor. Facilities were half working and the masseuses were hit and miss. Too expensive for the value. Breakfast area was too large and was taking a lot of time to be served. Pool area service and experience too slow. Only one of the two pools heated forcing guests to either swim all in the small pool with the babies or get cold in the larger oneAmazing – May from United Kingdom – 12 April 2025 (10/10)
