The apartment itself sits right at garden level – hence the “rez de jardin” – and I actually loved having that direct access to the outdoor space. No trudging up stairs with luggage, no elevator waits, just straight from your door to this lush, palm-filled setting. The place has this authentic Moroccan feel without being too theme-park-ish, if you know what I mean. The décor strikes that perfect balance where you feel like you’re somewhere special but can still relax and spread out your stuff. What surprised me most was how spacious everything felt – the rooms have good flow, and there’s actual storage space, which, let’s be honest, is rare in vacation rentals. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, not just some sad mini-fridge situation, so you can actually cook if you want to take a break from tagines.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re here – you’re about a 15-minute drive from the main tourist areas, but that’s actually perfect. Close enough to hit Jemaa el-Fnaa or the souks when you want that full Marrakech experience, but far enough to escape back to peace and quiet. The palm grove setting is genuinely beautiful, especially in the early morning when you can hear the birds and the light filters through all that greenery. I found myself having coffee outside every morning, which isn’t something I usually do – I’m more of a “grab and go” traveler. The 9.3 rating makes total sense to me because it’s one of those places that just works on multiple levels. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway or need space to decompress, it delivers. The only minor thing I’d mention is that you’ll definitely want a car or be comfortable with taxis, since walking to restaurants isn’t really an option. But honestly, that isolation is part of the charm – you feel like you’ve discovered this secret corner of Marrakech that most tourists never see.
