Family Village Marrakech Overview

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Family Village Marrakech – I mean, Tameslouht is pretty far out from the medina action, about 45 minutes depending on traffic. But honestly, that turned out to be exactly what made this place special. It’s tucked away in this quiet corner of Jabbeda where you can actually hear the call to prayer echoing across the palm groves instead of getting drowned out by scooter horns and tourist chatter.

The property itself feels more like staying at someone’s really well-designed family compound than a typical hotel. The rooms are scattered around these gorgeous courtyards with actual orange trees – not the sad decorative ones you usually get, but the kind where you can smell the blossoms in the morning. What really got me was how they’ve kept that traditional riad vibe without making you feel like you’re sleeping in a museum. The staff here actually remembers your name (and your coffee order), which is refreshing after dealing with the sometimes overwhelming hustle of central Marrakech. The pool area is where I spent most afternoons honestly – it’s got these amazing views of the Atlas Mountains that look almost fake they’re so perfect, especially around sunset when the light hits just right.

Here’s the thing though – you’ll definitely want a car or be prepared to negotiate taxi rides if you want to explore the main city. The hotel does run a shuttle service, but it’s not constant. That said, there’s something to be said for having this peaceful retreat to come back to after a day of navigating the souks. The restaurant serves this incredible tagine that tastes like actual home cooking (I watched them preparing it in these traditional clay pots), and the breakfast spread has fresh local honey that’ll ruin you for the stuff back home. The whole place just feels authentic without trying too hard – like they’re not performing Morocco for tourists, they’re just being Moroccan. With a 9.4 rating, I get why people keep coming back here, even if it means a bit of a commute to see the Koutoubia or hit up Jemaa el-Fnaa.

  Merci pour ce séjour. Le logement était propre, le personnel prend soin de vous merci à Nadia et Omar .une belle et grande piscine dans une végétation bien entretenue.depaysement Total.
  
  What could be improved: Avant de rejoindre l'établissement il ya une piste il faut rouler à faible allure ce qui prend 5 min. Mais ça on le savait déjà et ce n'est pas gênant. Cela nous à pas empêché de passer un très bon séjour.

  Nos vacances à family village ont été un coup de coeur !Un accueil exceptionnel et des vacances aux petits soins,le lieu est dépaysant calme propre la piscine est superbe le logement est très agréable, Kaoutar la gérante est très professionnelle très à l ecoute, Aasma également.Gros coup de coeur pour l hospitalité de Nadia cette merveilleuse femme qui cuisine tellement bien qui nous chouchoute du début à la fin merci à Omar qui nous a également chouchouter cet établissement est remarquable et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir et très vite nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances dans ce merveilleux ecolodge merci à toute l'équipe pour tout sincèrement du fond du coeur. famille GIRONDIN

  مكان الإقامة يجعلك تنقطع عن ضغط العمل. كان طاقم العمل مضيافا جدا و جعلنا نحس بأريحية كبيرة.
  كان الفطور لذيذا أيضا و استمتع الأطفال بالحياوانات الموجودة هناك و بالسباحة في الهواء الطلق وسط الطبيعة.

  This is unique experience, night in Agafay desert.
  The owners look well after the area, it’s not far from Marrakech just 35 minutes drive. Last mile off road but could get on any car. The hotel presented on google map so not a problem to find it. Few months ago I stay in luxury camp in agafay that hotel has different vibe. The area is locked and inside is green with the pool and other amenities. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Food was amazing highly recommend to order there but in advance as we had waiting time for 3 hours. Not sure if that was due to Ramadan. But it was worth to wait ). Overall is great experience for family or couples.

  Absolutely lovely place, great accommodation with lovely outdoor area and pool, hosts are absolutely amazing, super friendly and helpful! We also loved the breakfast and the dinner options, all the vegetables and meats are 100% bio, organic and home grown. One of the best Booking experiences we ever had!
