Ferme Sidi Safou & Spa Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Ferme Sidi Safou & Spa? The fact that it’s tucked away in this tiny village called Omina El Hiba – I mean, you’re technically still in Marrakech, but honestly, it feels like you’ve escaped to somewhere completely different. The drive out from the main city takes you through these winding roads where you’ll pass actual working farms and locals going about their daily business, not the tourist trail stuff you usually see.
The place itself is sort of a revelation if you’re tired of the typical riad experience (don’t get me wrong, I love a good riad, but sometimes you want something different). It’s got this authentic farm-to-table vibe that actually means something here – they’re not just saying it for Instagram. The breakfast spread includes vegetables and herbs they grow right on the property, and you can literally walk around and see where your food comes from. The spa is surprisingly sophisticated for being in such a rural setting, though I’d recommend booking treatments in advance because word has gotten out among locals and other travelers staying in the area. The treatment rooms have these gorgeous views of the Atlas Mountains that honestly make you forget you’re getting a massage – you’re just staring at this incredible landscape.
What really sold me on this place was the evening atmosphere. Once the sun starts setting, the whole property transforms into something magical. The staff lights up these traditional lanterns throughout the gardens, and you can hear the call to prayer echoing from the village mosque in the distance – it’s one of those moments where you remember why you travel, you know? The rooms are spacious and comfortable (I stayed in one of the suites with a private terrace), and the air conditioning works perfectly, which is crucial if you’re visiting during the warmer months. Fair warning though – if you’re someone who needs to be walking distance from restaurants and nightlife, this probably isn’t your spot. You’re really committing to the farm experience here, which means most of your meals will be at the hotel. But honestly, the food is incredible, and the chef seems to genuinely care about showcasing local ingredients. Plus, if you do want to head into central Marrakech for a day, the hotel can arrange transportation, and it’s actually a nice way to appreciate the contrast between the bustling medina and this peaceful retreat. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Morocco, but it absolutely nails what it sets out to do.

Reviews of Ferme Sidi Safou & Spa
A superb rural villa with good facilities. – Estelle from United Kingdom – 2 June 2025 (9/10)
The location and villa was superb. The villa had plenty of space for a large group to enjoy either on one of the many terraces of the villa or by the pool. Every room had its own bathroom and air conditioning – essential in hot weather. The gardens were beautiful and well maintained. Youssef and his team were excellent hosts, whether catering for breakfast and dinner or organising one of the many excursions into Marrakech and the surrounding area.

Service was impeccable in every area of the hotel.
Dining on-site is highly recommended: the food is outstanding and, whenever possible, sourced directly from the hotel’s own garden.
The location is an excellent starting point for exploring the wider area; its remote setting adds to the charm but may feel less convenient for someBest Farm’s experience so far! – Ali from Italy – 5 April 2025 (10/10)
Amazing stay at this farm! From welcome, cleanliness, staff flexibility, and last but not least the food quality (we had a delicious organic KM 0 couscous). I personally recommend for a long stay with a group of friends/families willing to enjoy a different experience in Marrakech.

Great and delicious food.. so fresh, much better than in the city and that is saying something! Brilliant! Aziz Bouhaddou was exceptional. He delivered us beer every half an hour to the pool and was so friendly and forthcoming. A true Berber! We were alone in our villa and had the pool for ourselves and it was like a dream. Peacocks all around, our favourite the male we named Pontius. Diana and the Supremes were a trio of dragonflies that kept us company by the pool. Go and stay there, just do it!

The property is absolutely beautiful in every way – the farm was something else! I’ve never done this before so to wake up to cockerels clucking and peacocks greeting us at breakfast was just phenomenal! It’s built like a castle we felt like absolute royalty all the time we were here. The maids kept our room clean and tidy, work men and women kept the grounds beautifully clean and tidy throughout. It was like narnia – a wonderland! The pool area was perfect too! We had the pool to ourselves on many occasions. The hotel/castle had lots of space for us to chill with books, sofas, fantastic spaces for us to go and meditate in and take time out from our busy lives

We had a very nice stay.Magical – Jocelyn from United Kingdom – 10 September 2024 (10/10)
The venue is so special, Youseff and the team were all incredible. They could not do enough for you and made our stay easy, organised and we were spoiled. The grounds are so well kept, the rooms are lovely, the pool is beautiful and the food was exceptional. The best we ate in the whole trip. The hammam and massages were also wonderful. Big shout out to transfer driver Youseff who treated us like Queens and make every journey extra special. We cannot thank-you all enough.
What could be improved: Impossible to think of anything. This stay was magical.
