Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Fleur de Marrakech on the Route de Fès, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. It’s about 12 kilometers out from the medina madness, which actually turned out to be one of its biggest advantages. You know that overwhelming sensory overload you get in the heart of Marrakech? Well, this place gives you a breather from all that while still keeping you close enough to dive back in whenever you want.

The hotel itself has this sort of understated elegance that grows on you. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town – and honestly, that’s refreshing. The rooms are spacious (I mean, really spacious compared to what you’ll find in the medina), and there’s something about the way they’ve done the traditional Moroccan touches without going overboard that just works. The staff actually remembers your name after a day or two, which is a nice touch you don’t always get at bigger places. I found myself having genuine conversations with the front desk team about local spots that aren’t crawling with tourists – they pointed me toward this incredible little pottery workshop that I never would have found on my own.

What really sold me on this place was the pool area. During the day, it’s this perfect escape from the Marrakech heat, but in the evenings – especially around sunset – it transforms into something almost magical. The lighting is just right, not too bright, and you can actually hear yourself think. The location on Route de Fès means you’re not dealing with the constant honking and chaos of the city center, but you’re also not stranded in the middle of nowhere. Getting a taxi into town is easy enough, and the ride gives you these glimpses of everyday Moroccan life that you miss when you’re staying right in the tourist bubble. Plus, there’s decent parking if you’re brave enough to rent a car in Morocco (which, let’s be real, is an adventure in itself). The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not perfect, but it gets the important stuff right, and there’s something genuinely welcoming about the whole experience that makes you want to come back.

• Rest and relaxation outside Marrakesh – Jolande from United Kingdom – 3 October 2024 (9/10)

  Thank you Leila for looking so well after us. We asked for a taxi to collect us at the Supratours bus station and were pleasantly surprised he was waiting for us on arrival from Ouarzazate. The villa is located outside Marrakesh, and it was nice to have a dedicated driver ferrying us back and fort to the city centre. The villa is in a peaceful residence, has a nice size clean pool (needed in +35C!), and the garden is also well looked after. The whole villa is well airconditioned and has comfortable sized rooms. Beautiful bathrooms, fully equiped kitchen, comfortable living room and great outdoor terasse. The last day of our stay we also discovered there is a beautiful roof terasse ;-). Lovely Leila also can supply a breakfast on request, and will help with any questions you throw at her.
  
  What could be improved: The location is a bit outside Marrakesh. It takes about 30 min to get to the Medina. So you will need a taxi every time you want to go into town. We decided against renting our own car for traffic in Marrakesh is more or less lawless, better to leave the driving to the locals. On a positive note, the taxis are not that expensive.

  What could be improved: La piscine était propre mais avait une teinte verte. Après le passage du pisciniste, des interventions techniques sont nécessaires (changement de sable, ajout de chlore) pour remettre la piscine en parfait état. J'avais demandé un entretien de la piscine avant ma venue, mais cela n'a malheureusement pas pu être réalisé (faute de planning)

  When we got there Leila the host greeted us she showed us around and was very welcoming . If we had any problems she was just a message away and problems she would sort out straight away .The property was really nice well equipped really spacious and modern only thing that could of been better if they had a pool table or something to keep customers entertained while spending all day in the villa apart from this Everything was perfect very private which we wanted .The beds were very Comfortable to sleep on . The villa was really clean overall .The villa is around 30 mins away from city centre and airport via car however when there is no traffic it’s around 15-20mins so I would advise to hire a car to make it easier getting to the villa and around Marrakech . If you ever want to go out in the evening and come back later on the security guards will always let you in and out which isn’t a problem . The area is well secured so you won’t have to worry about anything during the night . The villa has shutters which makes you feel more at security as well .
  
  What could be improved: When I booked this villa it didn’t have the correct address on here which lead us to the incorrect address at first but as soon as I messaged Leila she dropped us a message straight away with the exact location on WhatsApp .

  the villa is spacious with lot of natural lights and well decorated with a mix of modern and traditional decor the rooms are specious with clean bed sheets and are nice looking . the bathrooms have either spacious showers or bath tub and hot water the kitchen is big with modern appliances and plenty of kitchenware the swimming pool is very private and the sitting around it is nice and relaxing. the place is well maintained with staff taking care of the garden and the pool they are very polite and ask permission before starting to work. finally the villa is outside Marrakech (not far from the city but far from all the hassle and noise with lots of small stores around )it is inside a gated community with security and a feel of safety

  The facilities were beautiful, well equipped and according to description. Laïla did an excellent job coordinating our breakfasts, our stay and transportation. She even cooked a nice Tagine on our first evening.

  The villa was very spacious with a great pool, extremely relaxing. We were able to walk to the Apple Garden hotel and ate there a number of times. Likewise we walked to Bakkal Farm where we had lunch a number of times. Leila was great so kind and helpful with shopping, taxis and trips. She also prepared the breakfast which we had booked.
  
  What could be improved: It did mean getting taxis into Marrakech as it is about 25 minutes into the city and we decided not to rent a car. However, based on cost of transfers to and from airport and good service and rate organised by Leila for taxi when we did go in, it was still probably cheaper and a lot less hassle than renting a car. I am glad we did not rent a car as I would not want to have driven from the airport due the number of motorbikes weaving in and out (but that is just a personal choice despite havvng driven abroad in various countries).
