But you know what? Sometimes you want sterile after a day of haggling in the souks.

The pool situation is the real draw here, though it comes with caveats. Since you’re on the ground floor, you literally step out and you’re poolside – no elevator rides or trekking across a massive resort. The pool itself is decent sized and usually not too crowded, especially during the week. I found the water temperature just right in spring, though I imagine it gets pretty warm in summer. The downside? Well, ground floor means everyone walking by can basically peer into your space, so if you’re the type who likes to lounge around in your underwear with the curtains open, maybe think twice. The apartment itself is clean and functional – modern Moroccan style with those geometric tiles that photograph well for Instagram, decent air conditioning (crucial in summer), and a kitchen that’s actually usable if you want to grab groceries from the Carrefour down the road.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking: the place fills up with French families during school holidays, which isn’t necessarily bad but definitely changes the vibe from peaceful retreat to… well, less peaceful. Also, while the 4-star rating suggests luxury, this is more like a very nice Airbnb than a hotel with concierge service and daily housekeeping. The 7.7 rating seems about right – it’s good, not great, but good in ways that matter for a longer stay in Marrakech. If you’re looking for that traditional riad experience with carved cedar and candlelit courtyards, this ain’t it. But if you want a modern base with pool access, reliable WiFi, and the kind of quiet that lets you actually recharge between exploring the chaos of the old city, then yeah, this works. Just don’t expect room service or someone to carry your bags up three flights of stairs – because thankfully, there aren’t any.

  What could be improved: Il y avait beaucoup de bruit tapage nocturne pas d eau chaude dans une des salles bain la télé ne marché pas à cause du wifi très médiocre pas de réseau dans l appartement et le pire le plus choquant des énormes cafards pas un pas 2 mais une vingtaine dans la salle de bain surtout et quelques un dans les autres pièces j ai du quitter l appartement tellement sa ma dégoûtée et répugner et je suis aller à l hôtel
