The space itself punches way above its weight. I mean, a perfect 10 rating isn’t something you see every day, and after staying here, I get it. The layout actually makes sense – unlike some places where you’re doing gymnastics to get around the furniture. The kitchen is properly equipped (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer), and the bathroom has decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of town. Small touches matter too – there’s proper lighting for reading, enough outlets for your devices, and the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartment.

What I really loved was the location within Gueliz. You’re walking distance to some genuinely good restaurants where you won’t see another tourist – there’s this little café around the corner where the coffee is strong and the pastries are fresh every morning. The Carrefour nearby is perfect for stocking up on essentials, and if you need to venture into the medina, you can catch a taxi or even walk if you’re feeling energetic (it’s about 20 minutes to Jemaa el-Fnaa). The area feels safe for wandering around, even in the evenings, and you’ll see families out with kids, which is always a good sign.

Here’s the thing though – this isn’t your typical hotel experience. You won’t have someone at a front desk sorting out your problems, so you need to be a bit self-sufficient. But that’s also what makes it special. You’re living like a local, shopping at the same places, walking the same streets. The value is incredible too – you’re getting a whole apartment in a great neighborhood for what you’d pay for a cramped hotel room in the tourist zones.   New, quiet apartment in Gueliz, around 20 minutes drive to Medina. It was spotlessly clean, you have everything at your comfort or what you need for cooking too, nice views through the balcony. Safe neighbour, good sound isolation. It also has a nice clean swimming pool included, but I didn't use it as it still was too refreshing at the end of April. Good communication and quick reply.
  
  What could be improved: You need to check the actual location with the host as it is a little bit more far away not in the centre of Gueliz like it shows on maps somehow. And also a deposit was needed to secure the booking during the stay around 150€. I was given it back straight away at my checkout.
