But actually stepping out of the car and seeing those Atlas Mountains rising up behind the property… well, that changes everything. It’s one of those views that makes you stop mid-conversation and just stare for a minute.

The thing about this spot is that it really does feel like you’re staying in someone’s elegant home rather than a typical hotel. The rooms have this lived-in quality – not worn down, I mean, but like someone actually thought about how you’d want to spread out your stuff or where you’d sit to read in the evening light. And honestly, that mountain view from the terrace? It’s especially gorgeous around sunset when the peaks turn this incredible orange-pink color. I found myself having my coffee out there every morning, just watching the light shift across the ridges. The golf course itself is surprisingly well-maintained considering how dry it can get out here – they’ve clearly figured out their irrigation situation.

What really sold me on the place though was how the staff seemed to actually know Marrakech, not just the tourist spots. The guy at reception (I think his name was Youssef?) gave me directions to this little pottery workshop in the medina that I never would have found otherwise, and when I mentioned wanting to avoid the crowds at Jemaa el-Fnaa, he suggested hitting the square early morning instead of sunset – which was brilliant advice, by the way. The location works really well if you want to be close enough to explore the city but far enough out to actually sleep at night without hearing scooters and street vendors until 2 AM. It’s maybe a 15-minute drive into the heart of things, and parking back at the hotel is never an issue, which anyone who’s driven in Marrakech will tell you is a blessing. The pool area gets busy in the afternoons, but mornings are pretty peaceful if you want to swim some laps or just float around. I mean, it’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but there’s something really appealing about the whole setup – it feels authentic without trying too hard, if that makes sense.
