You know what struck me first about this place? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there – it really does capture that whole Gueliz vibe while giving you this gorgeous peek into Majorelle territory. I mean, you’re right on Rue Khalid Ben El Oualid, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is. It’s actually this lovely tree-lined street where you can hear the call to prayer mixing with café chatter and the occasional motorbike (though way less chaotic than the medina, thank god).

The apartment itself is one of those gems that photographs well but somehow feels even better in person. That large terrace they mention? It’s legit – I spent most mornings out there with mint tea, watching the city wake up. You can actually see glimpses of the Atlas Mountains on clear days, and there’s something about the way the light hits those terracotta rooftops that makes you understand why artists flock here. The whole place has this authentic Moroccan feel without being too touristy, if that makes sense. Beautiful tiles, carved wood details, but also reliable wifi and a proper shower (honestly, after three days in riads with temperamental plumbing, this was heaven). The furniture strikes that perfect balance between traditional and actually comfortable – you know how some places look amazing but you can’t really relax? Not here.

What I really loved is how the location lets you dip in and out of different Marrakech experiences. The Majorelle Gardens are maybe a 15-minute walk, and you can actually beat the tour groups if you head out early. But here’s the thing locals know – there’s this little café called Café des Épices just around the corner where you can get proper Moroccan breakfast for a fraction of what you’d pay near the main attractions. The Gueliz neighborhood itself is where actual Marrakchis live and work, so you get that real city energy without feeling like you’re in a tourist bubble. Evening walks are particularly nice because the streets have this gentle buzz – families out for strolls, teenagers hanging out, the whole scene. Parking can be a bit tricky during busy hours, but the host actually gave me solid advice about where to find spots (apparently there’s this little lot behind the pharmacy that most visitors miss). The 8.9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not flawless, but it gets all the important stuff right and has that special something that makes you want to come back.

  Очень быстро и просто заселились, сложновато было найти само место. Есть подземная парковка, пешком до парка Мажорель 10 минут, вокруг много кафе открытых на завтрак. квартира просторная, чистая, все, что требуется для жизни есть. В хорошую погоду вид на горы.

  A spacious and secure apartment featuring underground garage parking, ideally located near the medina in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood.
  
  What could be improved: The terrace was not very pleasant due to an odor, which also affected the bathroom, likely due to the drains. Thankfully, we were able to improve the situation with some ventilation. The kitchen, while functional, was somewhat under-equipped, particularly lacking appropriate pots for cooking.

  Apartamento magnífico, amplio, moderno, bien situado. En una zona muy animada, segura y con todo tipo de servicios y establecimientos. El apartamento es silencioso porque tiene cierres dobles en balcones y ventanas, por lo que no entra el ruido de la calle. Perfecto para descansar. Cómodo para desayunar o comer en cafés cercanos y para ir al centro en taxi por 30 – 50 DH. Es perfecto para hacer turismo porque puedes llegar en coche hasta la puerta, no como la mayoría de alojamientos en la Medina
  La atención fue exquisita y muy flexible con los horarios de llegada y salida, por lo que estamos muy agradecidos.

  To najładniejszy apartamentem podczas naszej 10 dniowej podróży po Maroko (praktycznie codziennie byliśmy gdzie indziej). Dogodna lokalizacja, parkingi podziemny w cenie, super czysto, wyposażony we wszystko co potrzebne, genialny taras (niestety było zimno, więc go nie używaliśmy). BARDZO POLECAM
  
  What could be improved: jedyny mały problem to fakt, że obsługa nie mówi po angielsku, ale to udało się rozwiązać przez google translator.

  What could be improved: Toilet or drain smell from front entrance to the flat. No gas in the gas or electric power cooker. Although enough cooking and dining utensils. 2 of ACs out of three not working. Care taker Ebrahim was trying to be helpful but can’t speak or understand single word of English.

  What could be improved: I don’t know where to start. Main bedrom Air conditioning not working. I had to.sleep in single tiny bed.
  No one came for 4 days to check the towels or bed sheets.
  Wifi not working. I came and went off all the time.
  Last day care taker came at 4.30 am and kept knocking the apartment. He said you have got flight. I said flight cancelled. He went absolutely funny shouting and screaming. Had to leave the apartment atv5qm.
  Owner lives in France i called him and he made excuses for his care taker.
  God help the business.

  The property was clean and tidy, staff was very helpful.
  It was well maintained all facilities included, it was very close to the city centre.
  
  What could be improved: The Wi-Fi was very bad, it was running without internet connection mostly. The security who was taking care of the building was quite rude, he locks the outside door with his own key some nights which makes us wait for long time.
