You know what really struck me about this place? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet side street in Gueliz, but you’re still right in the thick of everything that matters. I mean, when you step out of Heart of Marrakech city center, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Avenue Mohammed V – that’s where all the good cafes and shops are, the ones locals actually go to, not just tourist traps.

The hotel itself has that solid, dependable feel of a proper 4-star place without trying too hard to be fancy. Check-in was smooth (they speak excellent French and English here, which honestly makes a difference), and the lobby has this nice blend of Moroccan touches without going overboard with the whole “authentic experience” thing. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night – Gueliz can get pretty lively, but Rue du Capitaine Arrigui is residential enough that you’re not dealing with street noise all hours. The rooms are well-appointed, nothing revolutionary but everything works properly, and the AC is actually effective, which… if you’ve been to Marrakech in summer, you know that’s not always a given.

Here’s the thing about the location that really won me over – you’re in the new city, so you’ve got proper sidewalks and modern conveniences (there’s a decent pharmacy right around the corner), but the medina is still totally doable by taxi or even walking if you’re feeling ambitious. It’s maybe a 15-minute walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa if you cut through the right streets. The staff actually gave me solid directions instead of just waving vaguely toward the old city, which was refreshing. And parking – this is key if you’re renting a car – there’s usually street parking available, though it gets tighter in the evenings when people come home from work. The breakfast spread is pretty generous, with both Continental and Moroccan options, and they make a decent coffee, not that instant stuff some places try to pass off. I’d say the 8.4 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what you’d want from a well-run hotel in this part of town. If you’re the type who wants to experience Marrakech but also wants to retreat somewhere calm and functional at the end of the day, this hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  I had a wonderful stay, both me and my wife absolutely adored the place. We arranged the romantic setting, so upon arrival the apartment was decorated with rose petals and a bouquet of flowers, my wife was overjoyed upon seeing this. The apartment is centrally located and comes with both air conditioning and heating system. A fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and just everything one needs in an apartment.
  Also, anytime I had a question or a request the host responded swiftly and took care of it.
