Look, I’ll be straight with you about Hivernage by Louhou Collection – this place surprised me in the best way possible. When I first pulled up to Rue Ibn el Qadi (and yeah, good luck pronouncing that if you’re like me), I wasn’t sure what to expect from what looked like a residential building in the Opera complex. But honestly? That’s exactly what makes this spot special. You’re staying in the heart of Hivernage, which means you’re literally walking distance from some of Marrakech’s best nightlife and restaurants, but you’re tucked away from the chaos that can drive you crazy in the medina.

The thing about this place is that it feels more like a boutique guesthouse than a traditional hotel – and I mean that in the best way. The staff actually remembers your name (not just because they’re looking at a computer screen), and they’ll give you the kind of local tips that you won’t find on TripAdvisor. I’m talking about which hammam is worth your time, or where to get the best tagine without paying tourist prices. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – clean, comfortable, with that modern Moroccan aesthetic that doesn’t feel forced or over-the-top. Actually, the bathrooms are surprisingly spacious, which anyone who’s traveled through Morocco will tell you is not always a given.

What really sold me on this place was the location within Hivernage itself. You know how some hotels claim to be “centrally located” but then you realize you need a taxi to get anywhere decent? Not here. You can walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa if you’re feeling adventurous (about 15 minutes), but more importantly, you’re right in the middle of the new city’s restaurant scene. Plus – and this is crucial – parking is actually manageable here, unlike some parts of Marrakech where you’ll spend half your vacation looking for a spot. The neighborhood gets lively at night but not obnoxiously loud, so you can actually sleep. I mean, this is Morocco, so there’s always some ambient noise, but it’s the good kind – not construction at 6 AM or constant honking. The 9.5 rating honestly makes sense once you’ve stayed here, because it’s one of those places that just gets the details right without making a big show of it.

  Nos encantó el apartamento, limpio y muy buenas condiciones, de calidad a muy buen precio. Muy cerca hay un lugar excepcional para desayunar y demás, dando la vuelta al hotel de enfrente.

  Idéalement situé , proche de tout, parking aisé!
  Résidence avec sécurité , et sans parler de l’appartement qui est un vrai cocon avec des matériaux de qualité ! Que ça soit les chambres, salle de bain ou pièce de vie, rien à redire!

  We loved everything about the apartment.
  It was well equipped.
  Beautiful decor, very spacious and great location with a nice balcony.
