It’s tucked away on rue el Houssima in a way that feels deliberately hidden – honestly, I walked past it twice before spotting the entrance. But that’s kind of the point, I think. While everyone else is dealing with the chaos of the medina or the tourist crowds near Jemaa el-Fna, you’re in this quiet pocket of Hivernage where the locals actually hang out.

The suites themselves are… well, they’re not huge, but they’re thoughtfully done. I mean, you can tell someone actually considered how people live in these spaces instead of just cramming in hotel furniture. The garden is where this place really shines though – it’s one of those courtyards that makes you forget you’re in the middle of a bustling city. You’ll hear the call to prayer in the distance and maybe some traffic from the main boulevards, but it’s muffled in a way that’s actually quite soothing. I spent way too many mornings out there with coffee, just watching the light change on the plants. The staff seems to get that people want to linger in spaces like that – they never rushed me, never made me feel like I was taking up prime real estate.

What I really appreciated was how they handled the little things. Check-in was smooth (they actually seemed to expect me, which doesn’t always happen in Morocco), and the guy at the front desk knew the neighborhood well enough to give me actual directions, not just vague gestures. You’re about a 15-minute walk from the medina walls, but here’s the thing – you’re also close to Gueliz if you want proper restaurants and cafes where locals eat. That balance is harder to find than you’d think in Marrakech. The 9.2 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just… works. The air conditioning actually cools the room, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and housekeeping doesn’t rearrange all your stuff in weird ways. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need after a long day of navigating souks and haggling over carpets you don’t actually want.

  What could be improved: The room we booked was meant to have a hot tub and garden, executive suite, it had neither but was told by staff it was the best room, also we should have had access to an executive lounge and there was none either, otherwise hotel was great just think people pay a higher price for these things to be included, I would have paid less elsewhere for same service I received.

  Lovely hosts, peaceful location, was disappointed not to get a room with a balcony as it says there was one on my booking, but in fact some do and some dont, apart from that everything was lovely and the room was very peaceful. Breakfast was very good.
